John Bean

John Bean, 61, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 16, 1940, in Los Angeles. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired hotel engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; three daughters, Valerie Torres, Victoria Konhorst and Jennifer Bean, and two sons, Larry Buzzard and Jeffery Bean, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Georgia Hunnel of Sun City, Calif., and Marilyn Gilber of Lucerne, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests donations to the ALS Society, 2101 S. Jones Blvd., Suite 120 Las Vegas, NV 89146.

Bonnie K. Bowie

Bonnie K. Bowie, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 23, 1932, in Lena, Miss. A resident for 47 years, she was a hotel cook.

She is survived by her mother, Roxanne Luckett, and one brother, Hillard Ealy, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Lee Johnson of Gardena, Calif.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave., followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

James R. Butler

James R. Butler, 58, of Mesquite died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 23, 1943, in Venice, Calif. A resident for 40 years, he was a contractor.

He is survived by one son, Ron Butler, and one daughter, Vicki Brown, both of Las Vegas; his parents, Charles and Polly Butler of Bodfish, Calif.; two sisters, Linda Gaisford of Lancaster, Calif., and Nancy Foster of Lincoln, Neb.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests donations to the Leukemia Society of America, 600 Third Ave. New York, NY 10016.

Lydell Crenshaw

Lydell Crenshaw, 36, of Las Vegas Died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 20, 1965, in Illinois. He was a fork-lift operator.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Chicago. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Jay D. Chumbley

Jay D. Chumbley, 72, of Las Vegas died Jan. 30 in Las Vegas. Born April 3, 1928, in Dorchester, Texas, he was a roofer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one brother, Edward Chumbley of Lakewood, Wash.

Services are private. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, are handling arrangements.

Lamont Estrada

Lamont Estrada, 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 24, 1948, in California. A longtime resident, he was a maintenance worker.

He is survived by one son, Seth Estrada of California; one daughter, Rachel McCabe of Boulder City; and one sister, Elaine Stanley of Oklahoma.

Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Bess Fensterstock

Bess Fensterstock, 90, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 12, 1911, in New Jersey. A longtime resident, she was a legal secretary.

She is survived by one daughter, Ellen Blum of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Los Angeles. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Thomas J. Graber

Thomas J. Graber, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1929, in Troy, N.Y. A resident for two years, he was a retired electronics engineer, Korean War Coast Guard veteran and a member of the YMCA Indian Guides and the Boy Scouts of America.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; two daughters, Joyce Bills of Latham, N.Y., and Aggie Partington of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; three sons, Ken Bott, Tom Graber and John Graber, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Marie Thomas of Watervliet, N.Y., and Margaret Treventi, Theresa A. Houlihan and Sister Kathleen Graber, all of Albany, N.Y.; two brothers, Charles Graber of West Sand Lake, N.Y., and Dr. James Graber of Albany; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Sisters of Mercy Fund in Albany.

Darlene Phyllis Hilsabeck

Darlene Phyllis Hilsabeck, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born May 24, 1924, in Audubon, Iowa. A resident for 49 years, she was a retired hospital administrative assistant.

She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Hilsabeck, and two sons, Jerry Hilsabeck and Donavan Hilsabeck, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Norma Roberts of Las Vegas and Doris Jorgensen of Exira, Iowa; two brothers, Harvey Jensen of Exira and Dale Jensen of Mason City, Iowa; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., and one hour prior to noon services Saturday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.

Judith A. Hone

Judith A. Hone, 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 11, 1944, in Kalamazoo, Mich. A resident for 20 years, she was a beautician.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; and one son, Jason Hone of Las Vegas.

Marilyn Lucille Krajci

Marilyn Lucille Krajci, 76, of Las Vegas died Jan. 31 in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Illinois. A resident for 12 years, she was an office worker.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Kenneth Krajci and Bruce Krajci; one daughter, Mary Kay Krajci; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Lillian Lednicky

Dorothy Lillian Lednicky, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 29, 1920, in Pennsylvania. A longtime resident, she was a nurse.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Lednicky of Las Vegas and Dorothy Emery of Lakehurst, N.J.; and two sons, Rudy Lednicky of Henderson and Charles Lednicky of Arlington, Ga.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in White Oak, Pa. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Clyde Russell McCurry Jr.

Clyde Russell McCurry Jr., 58, of Pahrump died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 4, 1943, in Altadena, Calif. A resident for six years, he was a tile setter for Avco Construction.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen; three daughters, Stephanie McCurry, Lisa McCurry and Stacie McCurry, all of California; and four stepchildren, Joseph Mitchell and Anthony Mitchell, both of Texas, and James Mitchell of Las Vegas and John Mitchell of California.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road in Pahrump.

Anna Pappas

Anna Pappas of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 1, 1920, in Joliet, Ill. A resident for 17 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur; and two brothers, Anthony Pappas of Henderson and Gregory Pappas of Knoxville, Tenn.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Additional services will be 1 p.m. Friday in St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 El Camino Road, followed by entombment in Palm Mausoleum in Henderson.

Harvey Franklin Pierce

Harvey Franklin Pierce, 87, of Las Vegas died Jan. 25 in Las Vegas. He was born March 26, 1914, in Lincoln, Neb. A resident for seven years, he was a retired ice cream handler.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice; one daughter, Doreen A. Jordan of West Covina, Calif.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.

Ronald L. Smith

Ronald L. Smith, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 11, 1941, in East Peoria, Ill. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired truck driver and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two sisters, Patricia Smith of Las Vegas and Sharon K. Kaiser of Olathe, Colo.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.

Sylvia Solloway

Sylvia Solloway, 57, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born March 13, 1944, in Brownsville, Texas. A resident for eight years, she was a retired computer operator for an aircraft company.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; one daughter, Wendy Ziegenhagen, and one son, Stephen Solloway, both of Henderson; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Michael Jon Stickney

Michael Jon Stickney, 37, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 23, 1964, in San Gabriel, Calif. A resident for six years, he was an account executive for a telecommunications company.

He is survived by his parents, Robert A. and Linda Stickney of Henderson; one brother, Eric Stickney of Azusa, Calif.; and his companion, Hector Villasenor of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Ines Zepeda Valdoninos

Ines Zepeda Valdoninos, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 15, 1932, in Mexico. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Manuel Garcia-Zepeda, Oracio Rivera-Zepeda and Guadalupe Garcia-Zepeda; one daughter, Maria Garcia-Zepeda; three brothers, Francisco Zepeda-Valdoninos, Juan Zepeda-Valdoninos, Manuel Zepeda-Valdoninos; Socorro Zepeda-Valdoninos; Jesus Zepeda-Valdoninos; Fidelia Zepeda-Valdoninos; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd., followed by burial at 2:30 p.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery.
