Alice Bell Andrews

Alice Bell Andrews, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. A resident for 33 years, she was born Sept. 22, 1930, in Cleburne, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold L.; two sons, Michael R. Andrews and Shawn L. Andrews, and one daughter, Vicki L. Morales, all of Las Vegas; four brothers, Jack W. Tidwell of San Bruno, Calif., Donnie Tidwell and Tommy D. Tidwell, both of Kermit, Texas, and Vernon D. Tidwell of Sterling Heights, Mich.; two sisters, Billie E. Hammond of Wenatchee, Wash., and Virgie Nesbit of Carlsbad, N.M.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., with burial following in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Janis E. Belcher

Janis E. Belcher, 55, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 4, 1946, in Decatur, Ala. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; one son, Tim Belcher of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne, with burial follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.

Margaret L. Boggs

Margaret L. Boggs, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 9, 1931, in Texas. A resident for two years, she was a retired bank manager.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane Hon of Wilmington, Ohio; three sons, Norman Stears of Las Vegas, Larry Stears of Morrow Bay, Calif., and Donn Boggs of Henderson; one sister, Merle Bell of Burbank, Calif.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Helen H. Bottita

Helen H. Bottita, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born March 9, 1913, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired hospital nurse's aide.

She is survived by two sons, Ben Bottita and George Bottita, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Nickolena Moran of Buffalo and Carrie Frost of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Frances Aubrey Carlson

Frances Aubrey Carlson, 94, of Tonopah died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1907, in Watertown, Mass. A lifelong resident, she was an undersheriff and deputy assessor for Esmeralda County.

She is survived by one son, Fred Henry Carlson of Sparks; one daughter, Marilyn Seay of Las Vegas; two sisters, Geraldine McMurry of Bishop, Calif., and Florence Ray of Paso Robles, Calif.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Tonopah, with burial following in Tonopah Cemetery.

Richard Charles Carno

Richard Charles Carno, 36, of North Las Vegas died Thursday. He was born Aug. 27, 1965, in Lompoc, Calif. A resident for 16 years, he was a stake missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his wife, Susanne; one daughter; three sons; his mother, Mary Ellen Hodder of Concord, Calif.; his father, Richard Carno of Casper, Wyo.; two sisters, Mary Cay Albert of Visalia, Calif., and Laura Carno of Monument, Colo.; and his grandmother, Ruth Young of Roseville, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Wednesday in the LDS Highland Hills Stake Center, 3350 W. Alexander Road. Graveside services will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Maria Del Carmen Garcia

Maria Del Carmen Garcia, 76, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born April 23, 1923, in Rio Lago, Spain. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Armando V.; one son, Armando A. Garcia, and one brother, Isabelino Prieto, both of Henderson.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

Doris Gershbein

Doris Gershbein, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born March 6, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin; one daughter, Cheryl Rome, and one son, Howard Gershbein, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a noon service Tuesday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, with burial following in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

JoAnn Carol LaSage

JoAnn Carol LaSage, 70, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born July 27, 1931, in Appleton, Wis. A resident for 31 years, she was a clerk in the liquor industry.

She is survived by her husband, Donald F.; one son, Michael C. LaSage of Lexington, Ky.; one daughter, Kathleen N. Lantz of Hazelton, Iowa; and two grandsons.

Gary James Miller

Gary James Miller, 53, of Las Vegas died Jan. 27 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 8, 1948, in North Dakota. A resident for many years, he was a laborer and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his father, Harvey Miller, and one brother, Jerold Miller, both of Bismarck, N.D.; and one sister, Karen Eide of North Dakota.

Barbara J. Moore

Barbara J. Moore, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 7, 1933, in Phoenix. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Jay Moore of Ontario, Calif.; one daughter, Jayne Olson of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Fumiko Neville

Fumiko Neville, 53, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A secretary, she was born Feb. 26, 1948, in Los Angeles.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon; and one daughter, Christina Marie Harris of Arizona.

Kathleen LaVerne Renio

Kathleen LaVerne Renio, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Little Rock, Ark. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired restaurant manager.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Barrickman; one sister, Virginia Gossett; and one brother, Frank David Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; six daughters, Sharon Rivera of Pinole, Calif., Karen Hirogoyen of Las Vegas, Irene McKeague and Bobbie Nash, both of Maile, Hawaii, Sonia Bermudez of Los Alamitos, Calif., and Angela Simmons of Makaha, Hawaii; six sons, Larry Renio of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Richard Renio of Maile, Kenneth Renio of Merizo, Guam, Michael Renio of Salem, Ore., and Anthony Renio and Edward Renio, both of Las Cruces, N.M.; one sister, Linda Mariner of Little Rock; one brother, Dexter Lintz of Brandon, Fla.; 43 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Alice Ida Spock, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 21, 1928, in MarVista, Calif. A resident for 29 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Collins of Marshall, Alaska, Janet Spock of Boynton Beach, Fla., Cindy Ward of Pahrump and Lori Meyer of Las Vegas; three sons, Dennis Spock, Jerry Spock and William Spock, all of Las Vegas; five sisters, Ester Kaser of Ojai, Calif., Cil Ferrell of Costa Mesa, Calif., Mary Horn of Coalinga, Calif., and Betty Sandoval and Barbara Seaman, both of California; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 1 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., with burial following in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Pearl G. Vernon-Saavedra

Pearl G. Vernon-Saavedra, 76, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 9, 1925, in Portland, Ore. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired personnel administrator in the entertainment industry.

She is survived by her husband, Ray; one daughter, Chris Ann Easson-Edwards of Las Vegas; one brother, John Julius of Needles, Calif.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Thelma M. Sylvester

Thelma M. Sylvester, 83, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Weehawken, N.J. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth C.; one daughter, Carol Buch of Henderson; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Green Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wigwam Parkway and Valle Verde Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Anthony J. Taiani, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 4, 1929, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired police officer.

He is survived by one son, William Taiani of Windham, Maine; one sister, Jay Sabatino of Hicksville, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
