StumbleNew CFO named at Nevada Power parent

Sierra Pacific Resources, owner of Nevada Power Co. in Las Vegas, today announced the appointment of Richard K. Atkinson as vice president and chief financial officer.
Atkinson, previously vice president, treasurer and investor relations officer of Sierra Pacific Resources, succeeds Dennis Schiffel as CFO. Schiffel, who joined the company in July 2001, said he's leaving to pursue other interests.
Sierra Pacific stock traded at $6.15 this morning, up 9 cents from Friday.
