Police search for suspects in thefts

Metro Police were searching this morning for two men suspected of trying to steal a car from a residential garage near Paradise and Robindale roads, a spokesman said. The suspects are also wanted in a Henderson robbery.

Police said a resident went into his garage about 7:50 a.m. and saw two men in his wife's car. The men fled in a white 1996 Toyota Camry, which was reported stolen Dec. 20, and the victim called police.

Officers spotted the car and a short chase ensued. Shortly before 8:30 a.m., the suspects jumped from the car at Maryland Parkway and Paradise and scaled a wall. Police were searching for them this morning.

Both suspects are described as Asian men. The driver was in his late teens or early 20s.

Metro Police Officer Jose Montoya said they are also suspected of committing an armed robbery in Henderson.
