The National Indian Gaming Commission Thursday approved the terms of a management agreement between the United Auburn Indian Community and Station Casinos Inc. that will allow the Las Vegas neighborhood casino operator to assist the tribe in developing Thunder Valley Casino -- a tribal-owned casino near Sacramento.
Station Casinos will receive a management fee for running the casino, which is expected to open in summer 2003.
The casino, located on 49 acres, will be about 200,000 square feet and feature up to 2,000 slot machines and 100 table games, including a private casino area.
Station Casinos will also assist the tribe in obtaining financing for the project through a group of lenders, with the company providing credit support.
