Carol K. Brink
Carol K. Brink, 68, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Oct. 22, 1934, in Washington. A resident for 30 years, she was a claims representative.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, James; two sons, James Robison of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Fred Robison of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sherry Brainard of Las Vegas and Anne Norvell of California; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Mary Helen Carrasco
Mary Helen Carrasco, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born April 3, 1937, in Carlsbad, N.M. A resident for 19 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan A. Tesser of Las Vegas; five sisters, Virginia Galindo and Yvette Nava, both of Carlsbad, Elsie Navarette of San Antonio, Diane LeVan of Atlanta and Elizabeth Tenorjo of Beaverton, Ore.; one brother, Albert Hernandez Jr. of Albuquerque; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Patrick Carl Compton II
Patrick Carl Compton II, 13, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Dec. 28, 1988, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his parents, Patrick and Tamara Compton, two sisters, Katherine Compton and Mallory Compton, his grandparents, Glenn and Linda Stockton and Patricia Wilson, and his great-grandmother, Ila Thompson, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Saturday in the Sloan and Alcott LDS chapel. A private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Eric Paul DeMott
Eric Paul DeMott, 34, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 14, 1968, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for eight years, he was a security officer.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; one daughter, Camille DeMott of Las Vegas; his mother, Judy Bramlett, and his father, William DeMott, both of Simi Valley, Calif.; one sister, Audrey DeMott of Florida; and his two grandmothers, Bessie Howard of Simi Valley and Betty DeMott of Michigan.
Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 7 p.m. service Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.
Joseph M. Foley
Joseph M. Foley, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 31, 1924, in Goldfield. A resident for 74 years, he was a retired attorney and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; four daughters, Jeanne Clarke and Shannon Lyman, both of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Helen Foley of Las Vegas and Kathleen Meyer of Sunland, Calif.; two sons, Danny Foley and Patrick Foley, and two brothers, George Foley and John Foley, all of Las Vegas; and 16 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Additional visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday with a 5:30 p.m. rosary in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Additional services will be 1 p.m. Friday in St. Anne Church. Graveside services will be 2:15 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Betty Ann Freeman
Betty Ann Freeman, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 20, 1934, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, John Henry of Las Vegas and Robert Henry of Trail, Ore.; two daughters, Carol Hunt of Trail and Kathleen Henry of Las Vegas; one brother, Bob Stubbs of Apple Valley, Calif.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Lena 'Lee' Gellman
Lena "Lee" Gellman, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired city government clerk.
She is survived by one daughter, Pearl Chekofsky of Los Angeles; and one sister, Etta Leibowitz of Seal Beach, Calif.

Harold L. Hale
Harold L. Hale, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 13, 1932, in Tulsa, Okla. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired Nevada Test Site warehouseman of 19 years, a Korean War Navy veteran and a member of Teamsters Local 631.
He is survived by his wife, Marylou; one daughter, Kelly; two sons, Roy Hale of Las Vegas and Harold Hale of Gillette, Wyo.; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Lorraine Hofeldt, 61, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born July 23, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for nine years, she was a clerk.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Hofeldt of Henderson and Steven Rando of NewYork; one daughter, Patricia Rando of New York; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.
Clare M. Howser
Clare M. Howser, 90, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born July 3, 1912, in Colon, Panama. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly J. Hamon of Fredericksburg, Va., and Kitty Smith of Crete; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Otis Jenkins
Otis Jenkins, 73, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born April 3, 1929, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 36 years, he was a hotel porter.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; one daughter, Max Rean Hankston of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be noon Friday in St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1439 Lawry Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Cowboy Chris Kincaid
Cowboy Chris Kincaid, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Illinois. A resident for four years, he was a retired actor, a Korean War and Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his companion, Dee Barsi of Las Vegas.
Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Joanne E. Lorensen, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born July 8, 1930, in Vancouver, Wash. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, William G.; two daughters, Cynthia Wilson and Kathy Buck, and one sister, June Grimm, all of Portland, Ore.; two sons, Steven Lorensen of Bend, Ore., and David Lorensen of Portland; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be in Portland. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Wilbert Layton McCandless IV
Wilbert Layton McCandless IV, 53, of Henderson died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 12, 1949, in Waltham, Mass. A resident for 39 years, he was a Las Vegas Fire and Rescue captain, a member of the Las Vegas Fireman's Benefit Association and Firefighters Local 1285 and a founding member of the hazmat team of Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; one daughter, Julie McCandless of Henderson; one son, Jeffrey McCandless, his parents, Dean and Violetta Williams and Ralph and Melissa Jones, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Raymond McCandless of Delaware and Robert Hendricks of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday followed by a 2 p.m. service in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.

Dominic Anthony Musto III, 28, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 26, 1974, in New Jersey. A resident for one month, he was a Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Leanna; one son, Bryson; one daughter, Annalise; his father, Dominic Sr.; his mother, Carol; and his stepfather, Ray Cundiff.

Bentley L. 'Ben' Odom
Bentley L. "Ben" Odom, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 31, 1938, in Atlanta. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired bank manager for Cal Fed/Citibank and a former employee of Harrah's Entertainment.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; two sons, Kenneth Odom of San Bernardino, Calif., and Steven Odom of Largo, Fla.; one daughter, Tamara Odom of Las Vegas; one brother, Thomas Lynn Odom of California; and nine grandchildren.

Evelyn Laxamana Paulos
Evelyn Laxamana Paulos, 56, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 6, 1946, in Zambales, Philippines. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired casino cage cashier.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur A.; one son, Daniel P. Natac of Las Vegas; one sister, Virginia L. Pea of Newark, Calif.; two brothers, Benjamin E. Laxamana of San Leandro, Calif., and Ruben E. Laxamana of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his parents, Stanley and Colleen Rimer, one sister, Crystal Rimer, and six brothers, Stanley Rimer III, Brandon Rimer, Aaron Rimer, Quaylyn Rimer, Enoch Rimer and Spencer Rimer, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Stanley and Helen Rimer Sr. of Las Vegas and Eldo and Susan Nield of Buhl, Idaho.

Bill Stone, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born June 17, 1933, in Arizona. A resident for more than 35 years, he was a retired plasterer.
He is survived by five daughters, Susie Weber of Moapa, Nancy Post of Phoenix, Tad Stocker of Moreno Valley, Calif., and Galen Stone and Lisa Stone, both of Riverside, Calif.; four sons, Willie Stone of Glendora, Calif., Rocky Stone of Isanti, Minn., and John Currie and Jimmie Young, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Ronnie Stone and Jerry Stone, both of California; 25 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He is survived by one son, Vincent Tam, and one daughter, Irene Tam, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Timothy Tam of Fremont, Calif.; and one sister, Eva Chow of Oakland, Calif.

Jim Warren, 69, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Jan. 3, 1933, in Cadiz, Ohio. A resident for 10 years, he was a vice president of a communications firm and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, Lloyd Mills of Denver and David Mills of Hill Air Force Base, Utah; one daughter, Janeen Mills of Hill Air Force Base; one sister, Judy Brown of Pacifica, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
