Ellen C. Anfenson
Ellen C. Anfenson, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born July 9, 1931, in Marshall, Mo. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Dwayne; one son, Danny Anfenson of Las Vegas; and one sister, Lorraine Ordway of Jefferson City, Mo.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. is handling arrangements.
Arlen F. Bass
Arlen F. Bass, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Bowling Green, Ky. A resident for 24 years, she was a retired change girl in the gaming industry.
He is survived by two sons, Harley and Ricky, both of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Lorie Walrath of Reno; one brother, Wendell Britt of Indiana; one sister, Normajean of Ohio; and four grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Jeanette 'Jay' Blasi
Jeanette "Jay" Blasi, 83, of Henderson died Saturday in a local health center. She was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for one month, she was a retired bookkeeper.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan O'Brien of Coram, N.Y., and Carol Ann Blasi of Henderson; one son, Gerald Longo of White Lake, N.C.; two sisters, Renee Podrup and Sally Steadman, both of Henderson; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.
Frank A. Durante
Frank A. Durante, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 6, 1920, in Lyndenhurst, N.J. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired U.S. Postal Service employee, a member of Musicians Local 47, American Association of Retired Persons and Retired Public Employees of Nevada.
He is survived by his wife, Matilda M.; three sons, Frank E. Durante and Rusty Durante, both of Henderson, and Dennis Durante of Canyon Country, Calif.; two sisters, Connie Devone of Las Vegas and Mary Bell of New Jersey; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-6 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Michael Dwyers
Michael Dwyers, 40, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 17, 1962.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Lafayette, Ind. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Linda R. Fox
Linda R. Fox, 48, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 17, 1954, in Gary, Ind. A resident for 30 years, she was a dispatch manager on a slot route.
She is survived by one daughter, Miranda Fox, one son, Marshall Cody Fox, and her mother, Nina Walter, all of Las Vegas; and one brother, John Szostek Jr. of Chicago.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
John C. Hagerman
John C. Hagerman, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born March 2, 1925, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired security officer and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; two daughters, Lynn Hagerman of Washington state and Lorie Cronenbold of Louisiana; one son, John Hagerman Jr. of Louisiana; one brother, Frances Hagerman, and one sister, Betty Mook, both of Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Fannie Laurenti
Fannie Laurenti, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Nov. 26, 1920, in Illinois.

James Mares
James Mares, 59, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 27, 1943, in New Mexico.

Harold McVay
Harold McVay, 87, of Las Vegas died Oct. 14 in Las Vegas. A laborer, he was born April 27, 1915, in Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Cleo.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Ohio. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Julia B. Meredith
Julia B. Meredith, 86, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Sept. 15, 1916, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for seven months, she was a city government department clerk.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlene Judith Hendley of Henderson; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to a 1 p.m. service Tuesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Entombment will be in Trenton.
The family suggests donations of Mass cards.
Henry O. Montano
Henry O. Montano, 68, of Henderson died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Feb. 20, 1934, in Winslow, Ariz. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired grocery warehouseman and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; five sons, Paul, Henry, Michael, Danny and Tommy, all of Henderson; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the John Kish Boys and Girls Club of Henderson, 401 Drake St., Henderson, NV 89015.
Phyllis Weidenfeld
Phyllis Weidenfeld, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born July 31, 1925, in Scranton, Pa. A resident for 16 years, she was a retired bookkeeper, a longtime volunteer for the United Jewish Federation of Las Vegas and was the recipient of the 1992 Senior Volunteer of the Year award.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Taber of West Hills, Calif.; one son, Gary Klein of Calabasas, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be noon Wednesday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the American Lung Association, 3375 Glen Ave., No. 7, Las Vegas, NV 89121, or the donor's favorite charity.
