Barnard Bell

Barnard Bell, 83, of Las Vegas died Dec. 4 in a local care center. He was born March 3, 1919, in California. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired from the Navy and a veteran of World War II and Korea and a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; four sons, Steven, James, Robert and Richard; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Tawana Lashawn Bledsoe

Tawana Lashawn Bledsoe, 43, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 28, 1959, in Chicago. A resident for two years, she worked in human resources for a communications company.

She is survived by her husband, Michael E.; two daughters, Domonique Vaughn and Morgan Bledsoe, both of Henderson; two sons, Temujian Joubert of Henderson and Michael E. Bledsoe Jr. of Avondale, Ariz.; her mother and stepfather, Margaret and Michael Thompson, three sisters, Kimberly Webb, Stephanie Webb and Harvetta Stewart, three brothers, Lamar Webb, Cedric Webb and Harvey Webb, and her grandmother, Elenor Glenn, all of Chicago.

Visitation is scheduled 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Bobby Augustus Bundy Jr.

Bobby Augustus Bundy Jr., 39, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 4, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio. A resident for one year, he was a chef.

He is survived by his father, Bobby Augustus Bundy of Medway, Ohio; his mother and stepfather, Marty and Wayne M. Solem of Las Vegas; one sister, Barbara Anne Tatton of Henderson; four brothers, Jack Alexander Bundy of Nevada and Duane Solem, Lonnie Solem and Danie Solem, all of Las Vegas; and his companion, Heidi Lane of Rhode Island.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

John Cox

John Cox, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 2, 1922, in Harriman, Tenn. A resident for four years, he was a retired Air Force senior master sergeant, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran and a member of Shriners in Knoxville, Tenn.

He is survived by two sons, John L. Cox of Las Vegas and Ernest L. Cox of Oakdale, Calif.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Sunday at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests donations to Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital and Burn Clinic, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502.

George P. DeMenezes

George P. DeMenezes, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 26, 1933, in Little Compton, R.I. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired Air Force technical sergeant and Korean War and Vietnam War, a member of Masonic Lodge 25 in Winthrop, Maine, and the Zelzah Shrine Temple.

He is survived by one son, Claude DeMenezes of Las Vegas; one daughter, Shirley DeMenezes of Albuquerque; one brother, Tony DeMenezes of Rhode Island; three sisters, Phoebe LaPierre and Clara Edwards, both of Rhode Island, and Gladys DiSorbo; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in New Community Church, 6360 S. Pecos Road. Graveside services will will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

James Elston Dolph

James Elston Dolph, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Notikewan, Alberta. A resident for 30 years, he was a craps dealer for 20 years.

He is survived by one sister, Doris Jones of Moses Lake, Wash.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

Beatrice C. Dulin

Beatrice C. Dulin, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Cleveland. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired executive secretary in the aerospace industry, a member of the American Contract Bridge League, Desert Winds Duplicate Bridge Club, American Bridge Association and the TRW Retirees Association.

She is survived by two daughters, Marcia Dulin Edwards of Chardon, Ohio, and Bonnie Seawright of Las Vegas; two sons, Wayne Dulin and Keith B. Dulin of Cleveland; one brother, Robert Phillips of Flint, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Paula M. Foster

Paula M. Foster, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday. She was born July 21, 1937, in Winthrup, Mass. A resident for 31 years, she was a retired ballerina and one of the first dancers in the Folies Bergere.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd; one son, Bill Foster of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Monday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Mary Gallifent

Mary Gallifent, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 10, 1925, in Hamilton, Ontario. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by three sons, John Gallifent of Las Vegas, Dennis Gallifent of LaQuinta, Calif., and Ronald Gallifent of Lacey, Wash.; one daughter, Julia Roberts of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Giuffre

Elizabeth Giuffre, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 23, 1921, in Sunfish, Ky. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker, a member of Beta Sigma Phi, a volunteer for St. Rose DeLima Hospital, Catholic Charities and Desert Springs Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Martin of Las Vegas, and Toni Beckley of Cocoa, Fla.; two sisters, Clara Mae Glick of Laffeyette, Ind., and Myrtle Miller of Rowlette, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Rosary will be 5 p.m. Monday with visitation from 6-8 p.m. in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Mausoleum.

Clarence E. Kehr

Clarence E. Kehr, 69, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 18, 1933, in Lewiston, Mont. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired aerospace testing engineer, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; three sons, Richard Kehr of Saugus, Calif., Randy Kehr of Lathrop, Calif., and John Williams of Durham, N.C.; his father, Art E. Kehr of Tillamook, Ore.; two sisters, Lucille Nelson of Marysville, Wash., and Ruth Lehman of Tillamook; one brother, William Kehr of Kent, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be 12:40 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

George A. Lichty

George A. Lichty, 65, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 6, 1937, in Portland, Ore. A resident for three years, he was a retired insurance company vice president, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; three sons, Mark L. Lichty of McKinney, Texas, George B. Lichty of Pittsburgh and Darin S. Lichty of Las Vegas; one daughter, Julie A. Fox of Lincoln, Calif.; one sister, Nila Toone of Boise, Idaho; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Palm Mortuary-Henderson.

Joseph Marcella Jr.

Joseph Marcella Jr., 33, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born May 2, 1969, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a meat department manager and a member of Meat Cutters Local 711.

He is survived by his father, Joseph Marcella, his mother, Leticia Humphries, his stepfather, Dale M. Kokoski, his stepmothers, Diann Marcella and Barbara Marcella, two brothers, Dale J. Kokoski and Jonathan Marcella, and two sisters, Nicole Marcella and Samantha Marcella, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Mercedes Maria Marquez

Mercedes Maria Marquez, 46, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 11, 1956, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Lorenzo; one son, Jesus Lorenzo; and three daughters, Sofia Marquez, Sonia and Mercedes.

A memorial service was scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Trinity Life Center, 1000 E. St. Louis Ave. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Vincent Mastaso

Vincent Mastaso, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 16, 1942, in Ohio. A resident for 30 years, he was a bartender and a member of Bartenders Local 164.

He is survived by four sons, Anthony Mastaso and Randy Mastaso, both of Las Vegas, and Jimmy Mastaso and Vincie Mastaso, both of Ohio; four daughters, Toni Hollan and Josephine Mastaso, both of Las Vegas, Patty Mastaso of Ohio and Wendy Mastaso of Arizona; one brother, Dominic Mastaso, and two sisters, Claire Kidd and Angie Rhodes, all of Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at noon Monday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Emily Ann Marie Murrin

Emily Ann Marie Murrin died Monday, her date of birth, in a local hospital.

She is survived by her mother, Jamie Murrin, her father, Kip Everett, and her grandparents, Ann Murrin, Tina Everett, Deborah Everett, William Murrin and Douglas Everett, all of Las Vegas.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Hector Riojas

Hector Riojas, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 2, 1920, in Texas. He was a retired Air Force tech sergeant, a retired member of Teamsters Local 14 and Sunrise Riders Club.

He is survived by one son, Hector Riojas Jr. of Arizona; two daughters, Norma Martinez of California and Rosa Morin of Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. Monday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Zelda Sheffield

Zelda Sheffield, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Johnstown, Pa. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired trustee sales officer for a title insurance company, a former employee of Nevada Legal News and a member of the Cactus Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Adriansen of Las Vegas; one son, Ron Sheffield of Chino Valley, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.

Linda L. Smith

Linda L. Smith, 55, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 12, 1947, in Gary, Ind. A resident for 20 years, she was a security officer.

She is survived by her companion, Jerry Kegley, one daughter, Linda Sanders, and her mother, Evelyn Kosour, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Kenneth J. Kosour of Green Bay, Wis.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Raymond R. Stultz

Raymond R. Stultz, 78, of Las Vegas died Dec. 3 in Las Vegas. He was born June 8, 1925, in Los Angeles. A resident for 15 years, he was an aircraft company administrator and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie; one son, Raymond R. Stultz II, and one daughter, Melody Lokoen, both of California; three stepchildren, Lorin Smith of Nevada, Glenn Smith of California and Arlena Smith of Las Vegas; one brother, Dale Stultz, and one sister, Beverly Swan, both of California; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Burial is private. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North handled arrangements.

Eugene VanSchaick

Eugene VanSchaick, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born July 11, 1932, in California. A resident for four years, he was a retired Navy master chief and a member of the Fleet Reserve.

He is survived by one sister, Marjorie Parrett, and one sister-in-law, Katherine Taylor.
