Robert Leonard Almas
Robert Leonard Almas, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 20, 1937, in Tacoma, Wash. A resident for four years, he was a construction laborer.
He is survived by one sister, Marilyn Nybeck of Tucson.
Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Rita J. Alspaugh
Rita J. Alspaugh, 54, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 8, 1948, in Nebraska. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired beautician.
She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly McCarty, and her companion, Adam Malkin, both of Las Vegas.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Mattie Baringer
Mattie Baringer, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 4, 1917, in Montana. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Charles Baringer of Las Vegas; three daughters, Sandra Sell of Las Vegas and Doris Gartin and Jean Martion, both of Boise, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mountain Home, Idaho. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Thomas F. Batelli
Thomas F. Batelli, 93, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 19, 1909, in Paterson, N.J. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired bus driver of 43 years.
He is survived by one son, Roy Thomas Batelli of California; and one daughter, Gail Patricia Batelli of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Leon Boyd
Leon Boyd, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 16, 1930, in Mississippi. A resident for 39 years, he was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; three daughters, Raquel Byron, Mattie Isaac and Danielle Byron, three sons, Sylvester Green, Major Green and Robert Green, two stepdaughters, Roberta Kyle and Rozlin Byron, and four sisters, Anglean Dayton, Morolyne Sweet Harris, Minnie Parker and Hester Boyd Ennis, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, Willie "Pap" Boyd and James Boyd, both of Las Vegas and John C. Boyd of Jackson, Miss.; 48 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Mary Burdecki, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 8, 1924, in Harrisburg, Pa. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.
She is survived by her husband, John F.; two sons, Dan Burdecki of Brunswick, Ohio, and David Burdecki of Hickery, N.C.; on brother, Andrew Kowza, and one sister, Helen Konarski, both of Cleveland; and four grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Suzie Conaway-Cameron
Suzie Conaway-Cameron, 57, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 28, 1945, in New York City. A lifelong resident, she was a family service director at Palm Mortuary, a member of the Nathan Adelson Hospice, Sunrise Hospital Children's Foundation, American Business Women's Association, Business Network International, Women in Business, Women in Communication, Women in Networking, Women in Successful Enterprises, Nevada Donor Network, North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and Southern Nevada Continuity of Care Association and was a longtime Weight Watchers leader.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald F.; four daughters, Lisa Ebeltoft-Kraske, Rachael Dilling, Cathryn E. Cameron and Carolyn Speetzen, her father, Samuel Miller, her stepfather, Lee Levine, and two sisters, Marie Sarno and Susan Martin, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Minnie Jean Dougall
Minnie Jean Dougall, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Blythe, Calif. A resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, William of 57 years; three sons, Tim Dougall and Todd Dougall, both of Las Vegas, and Terry Dougall of Pasadena, Calif.; one sister, Pauline Warren of Mesa, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Jan. 3 in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

David James Egan, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 4, 1931, in Wisconsin. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired police officer, an Air Force veteran and an Am-Vets commander.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene; four sons, Daniel, Michael, Timothy and Thomas; one brother, Jack; and nine grandchildren.

Larry Geisendorf
Larry Geisendorf, 60, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 13, 1942, in Oklahoma City. A resident for 34 years, he was a real estate broker and a member of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; one daughter, Twana Collins, three sons, Lance Geisendorf, Charles Geisendorf and Brook Geisendorf, and his mother, Joyce Geisendorf, all of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 4 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

A.V. Henderson Jr., 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 9, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas. A resident for five years, he was an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; four sons, Demond Henderson and Antwan Henderson, both of Fort Worth, Dale Pullum of Long Beach, Calif., Chad Pullum of Las Vegas; three daughters, Shaunda Henderson of Fort Worth, Shedralyn Pullum of Pacoima, Calif., and Dallette Pullum of Las Vegas; his parents, A.V. Henderson Sr. and Nora Blackburn, one brother, Timothy Blackburn, and one sister, Teressa Blackburn, all of Fort Worth; 22 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Kathleen Land, 43, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1959, in Torrington, Conn. A resident for 40 years, she was a general manager for an accounting firm.
She is survived by her husband, Robin G.; one son, Jesse Land, one daughter, Nichole F. Land, and two brothers, Frank Kloss and Richard Kloss, all of Las Vegas.

Mildred Morganelli, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 3, 1925, in Rockford, Ill. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired hairdresser and a member of Silver Bells Dance Group.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Jones of Las Vegas, Judy Wood of Riverside, Calif., and Carol Rogers of Temecula, Calif.; one son, Danny Morganelli of Prescott, Ariz.; one brother, Edward Sabella, and two sisters, Marie Burke and Louise Skiffey, all of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

She is survived by her companion, Harry Martin; one son, Raymond Williams; one daughter, Margaret Coppoletta; one brother, Frank C. Wise Jr.; one sister, Nell Mummert; and five grandchildren.

Dennis E. Petrell, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 17, 1937, in Virginia, Minn. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired principal, a member of Elks 1468, Retired Principals Association and Moose Lodge 252.
He is survived by two daughters, Sharla Heindel and Laurie Val, both of Las Vegas; one brother, James Petrell of Sun City, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sisters, Dorothy Berger and Jean Fipps, both of Orville, Calif., and Susan Prues of Scottsdale, Ariz.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Jacques-Slusher of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lia Slusher, and one son, Norman Slusher Jr., both of Tulsa, Okla.; one stepson, Brian Layton of Hillsboro, Ore.; one sister, Cheryl Copeland, and one brother, Lee W. Slusher, both of Reno; and eight grandchildren.
