Salvation Army seeking toys
The Salvation Army is asking businesses and individuals to donate toys for its Christmas Angel Program by Tuesday.
Although toys are coming in daily, the amount needed to meet all of the Christmas Angels is short. The toy distribution is scheduled to take place Thursday and Saturday at Cashman Field.
For more information, contact Maj. Harryette Raihl at 870-4430, Ext. 13.
Toys to be given to kids at schools
Firefighters, members of the Southern Nevada Firefighters Burn Foundation, the Clark County School District and Wal-Mart stores are sponsoring a toy drive from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and Dec. 21 and Dec. 22.
The toys will be collected at these Wal-Mart stores: 2310 E. Serene Ave.; 3075 E. Tropicana Ave.; and 8060 W. Tropical Parkway.
The collected toys will be distributed to various schools throughout the Las Vegas Valley to ensure that under-privileged children will have gifts for the holiday season.
