BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. -- Taubman Centers Inc. today rejected Simon Property Group Inc.'s offer to buy the shopping mall developer for $18 a share, saying the $3.83 billion bid doesn't reflect the value of projects the company has just completed.
In Las Vegas, Simon Property owns the Forum Shops at Caesars and is a partner in a downtown outlet mall now under construction.
