RENO, Nev. AP) - Terrance Green scored 15 points to lead six Nevada players in double figures Saturday night as the Wolf Pack defeated Pacific 83-54.
Kirk Snyder and Todd Okeson added 12 each, Kevinn Pinkney 11 and Garry Hill-Thomas and Jerry Petty 10 each for the Wolf Pack (2 (3)-, who held the Tigers to only eight points during an 11-minute stretch late in the second half.
Demetrius scored 16 of his 20 points in the first half for the Tigers 1 (3)-, who shot only 33 percent from the field on the game. Christian Maraker had 10 points and nine rebounds and Matt Kemper had 9 points for Pacific.
Nevada went on a 13-0 run capped by Deane Browne's driving hook to go ahead 21-13 at 9:15 in the first half. Jackson scored 9 of Pacific's next 11 points to pull within 25-22 at 6:03. But Green hit consecutive 3-pointers to start another 13-0 run for the Wolf Pack, who led 41-27 at the half.
Kemper's basket inside pulled the Tigers to within 49-36 with 15:12 left in the game. But Okeson, who made all three of his 3-point attempts off the bench, hit two from long range to key a 13-4 run that put Nevada ahead 60-38 at 11:05.
Sean Paul followed a basket on a rebound with a slam dunk and Green made consecutive jumpers to push the lead to 76-44 with 5 minutes remaining.
