Three area students scholars at UNR

Three Southern Nevada seniors attending the University of Nevada, Reno will receive top scholastic honors during a ceremony on Friday in Reno.

He earned his degree in marketing and commended his mentor Sheri Faircloth, assistant professor of managerial sciences.

Allord said she decided at an early age she wanted to become a speech pathologist. Her younger brother was in a serious car accident and lost his communication skills.

Allord said she often sat with him during sessions with a speech pathologist. Her brother recovered in less than a year.

Her faculty mentor was Ann Tyler, professor of speech pathology and audiology.
