Katie Anderson
Katie Anderson, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 20, 1923, in Tennessee. A resident for eight years, she was a retired director for the state of Tennessee, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Christian Women's Club and Nevada Gems.
She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Jones; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is arranging a pending memorial service.
George H. Buford
George H. Buford, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 1, 1918, in Merkel, Texas. A resident for three years, he was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by two sons, Alan G. Buford of Las Vegas and G. Jerry Prescott of Seattle; one brother, Richie Buford of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Jack Robert Clinton
Jack Robert Clinton, 81, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born July 31, 1921, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for one year, he was a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Denora; two sons, Jack Clinton of Glendale, Calif., and DeWitt J. Clinton of Henderson; one daughter, Vesta Clinton of Santa Clarita, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service date is pending. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Ruby G. Denman
Ruby G. Denman, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born June 17, 1921, in Brighton, Colo. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired grocery cashier.
He is survived by one daughter, Priscilla Atherton of Las Vegas; one son, Harry A. Denman of Kingman, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be in Phoenix. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Dorothy Irma Dombro
Dorothy Irma Dombro, 75, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local health care center. A resident for 10 years, she was born April 11, 1927, in Chicago.
She is survived by four daughters, Janice Leonard of Orlando, Fla., Beverly Morrell of Sarasota, Fla., Barbara Dombro of Los Angeles and Jeanne Corcoran of Las Vegas; one son, Jamie Dombro of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jean A. Hanily
Jean A. Hanily, 81, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 28, 1921, in Pittston, Pa. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired hotel owner.
She is survived by her husband, James J.; two sons, William Hanily and James Hanily, both of East Hanover, N.J.; one sister, Rita Irish of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
Harold Howard Hanna
Harold Howard Hanna, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 12, 1925, in Clear Lake, Iowa. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired movie theater projectionist, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Moose and the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Jonette Briers of Escondido, Calif., and Fran Blas of Cerritos, Calif.; one son, Howard Mielcarski of Anaheim, Calif.; one brother, Robert Hanna of Ventura, Iowa; two sisters, Lucille Van Horn of Mason City, Iowa, and Rosemary Ward of Clear Lake; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Morgan Deon Harris
Morgan Deon Harris, 31, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 19, 1970, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was in the recording industry.
He is survived by his father, Morgan Shelby; his mother, Jacquelyn Harris; three sons, Morgan Harris, Martel Moten and Maurice Harvey; two daughters, LaQuonna Harris and Morgan Harris; one brother, Muharran; and three sisters, Lakesha Harris, Quan Ware and Monique Haley.
Visitation is scheduled 5-9 p.m. today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
David Leon 'Billy' Knight
David Leon "Billy" Knight, 55, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 22, 1947, in Atlanta. A resident for 18 years, he was a musician, a member of the American Federation of Musicians, a musician on several television shows and was a percussionist and honorary Pip of Gladys Knight and the Pips.
He is survived by one daughter, Nakita Shante Knight, two sisters, Brenda Clark and Gladys Knight McDowell, and one brother, Merald "Bubba" Knight Jr., all of Las Vegas.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Vincent Knutson
Vincent Knutson, 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 5, 1937, in Minnesota. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired Air Force veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Kira; two sons, Christ and Kevin; one daughter, Karen; two brothers, Leland and Steven; two sisters, Gail and Patricia; and six grandchildren.

Joan Levinson-Burns
Joan Levinson-Burns, 65, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 3, 1937, in Chicago. A resident for 47 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Levinson-Oestry, and one son, Keith Levinson, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Donald Thiem of Illinois; and two grandchildren.

Anthony Paul Liberatore, 49, of Las Vegas died Nov. 15 in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 2, 1953, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 10 years, he was a taxicab driver for six years and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Joseph Paul Liberatore, and one daughter, Toni Marie Liberatore, both of Pascoag, R.I.; his mother, Flora Liberatore, and one sister, Paula Ann Liberatore, both of Las Vegas.

George A. Martin
George A. Martin, 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born June 9, 1918, in Winona, Minn. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired machinist for Waukesha Engine Dresser, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Julia; four sons, George H. Martin of Florida, Richard J. Martin of New Mexico, Steve Martin of Alabama and Michael Martin of Pennsylvania; one sister, Mabel Keeser of Watertown, Wis.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Monday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
W.H. Neal
W.H. Neal, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 22, 1919, in El Paso, Ark. A resident for six years, he was a business owner.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia; two sons, Ronald D. Neal and Robert Thurston, both of California; one brother, Homer Neal of Washington state; and one grandchild.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Aldo G. Perrotta, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 12, 1924, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired plasterer, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Yolanda; one daughter, Virginia Roeber of Northern California; one brother, Ralph Perrotta of Southern California; and one sister, Jean Kubler of central California.
Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Margaret Walters Ramos
Margaret Walters Ramos, 89, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 3, 1913, in Santa Rita, N.M. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by five daughters, Alyce Bishop, Loretta Chiodini and Karen Benton, all of Las Vegas, Melrita Westerlund of Shelby Township, Mich., and Deane Anderson of Mesquite, Texas; two sons, Perfecto Ramos Jr. of El Paso, Texas, and Bert Ramos of Reno; one sister, Lydia Lopez of Silver City, N.M.; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in El Paso. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Connie Sterling
Connie Sterling, 46, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 27, 1956, in Washington, D.C. A resident for 45 years, she was a secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; her mother, Frances Lippe; two daughters, Tina Lippe and Sharbai Owings, and one sister, Cynthia Gillis, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.
Frances Taylor
Frances Taylor, 80, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 15, 1922, in Raleigh, N.C. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired medical assistant and avid genealogist.
She is survived by one son, Marvin Mortensen of Pine, Ariz.; two daughters, Kris Bettinger and Leslie Huntington, both of Henderson; one brother, Jesse Sandlin Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va.; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Monday in LDS Fountains Ward. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Gerald D. Taylor
Gerald D. Taylor, 69, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 19, 1933, in San Diego. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired mechanic for an aircraft company, a member of the East Side Boys of Los Angeles and Boulder City Men's Golf Association.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara J.; three daughters, Deborah Gayle, Tracy Taylor and Lisa Taylor, and two sons, Michael Taylor and Anthony Taylor, all of Los Angeles; one brother, Walter Taylor of San Diego; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in First African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2450 Revere St., North Las Vegas. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

George Whitehair
George Whitehair, 53, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 20, 1949, in Los Angeles. A resident of Las Vegas for 34 years, he worked as a bellman at the Dunes and Las Vegas Hilton, was a taxicab driver and a right-of-way agent for the Nevada Department of Transportation. He served in the Air Force for four years and received a bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He traveled extensively with his family in his youth, visiting Japan, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. In 1967, he graduated from high school in Napa, Calif.
He is survived by his parents, Elmer Vincent Whitehair and Jane Whitehair of Napa; one brother, Charles Anthony Whitehair of Rutland, Vt.; two daughters, Jennifer Whitehair and Susie Stassi, both of Las Vegas; his friend, Mike Donnelly of Las Vegas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins, all of California, Michigan, Kansas and Vermont.

Monica Faith Young
Monica Faith Young, 18 days, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 16, 2002, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her mother, Tawanna Young, her father, Huey Brown, one sister, Tynisha Nicole Young, and two brothers, Huey Peterson Brown Jr. and Tywan Nicholas Brown, all of North Las Vegas; and his grandmother, Brenda Robinson of Las Vegas.

David Martinez Zapata
David Martinez Zapata, 27, of Las Vegas died Nov. 22 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 12, 1975, in Zacatecas, Mexico. A resident for seven years, he was a laborer.
He is survived by his wife, Odulia Torres, his father, David Martinez, his mother, Ma-Del Refugio Zapata, and five brothers, Ramiro Martinez and Luis Martinez, Carmelo Martinez, Mario Martinez and Ramon Martinez, all of Las Vegas; six sisters, Rosa Martinez, Clara Martinez, Susana Martinez and Martha Martinez, all of Mexico and Adelaida Martinez of North Las Vegas.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 2-8 p.m. Saturday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial will be in Mexico.
