Senior Friends will get Medicare help
Las Vegas Valley Senior Friends will host Patsy Crawford-Waits, president of Medicare Advisory Foundation, who will be on hand to provide members with the latest information on Medicare changes for 2003 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Senior Friends also will hold a Medicare counseling class from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday. A trained volunteer counselor will be on hand to help people sort through the world of co-pays, deductables and forms. By appointment only.
Senior Friends is located at 3101 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite 314. For more information, call 836-5803.
The Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence,
100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite No. 330, will offer a class called "Holidays: An Invitation to be Silent and Expectant" from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday. Sister Molly Nicholson will conduct the seminar, which will show participants how to make the holidays holy and will end with a centering experience. Call 616-4900.
