Nolen Akison

Nolen Akison, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 31, 1920, in Okmulgee, Okla. A resident for 60 years, he was a retired laborer at the Nevada Test Site.

He is survived by his wife, Julia; one daughter, Carolyn Carr, and two sons, Louis Carr Jr., and James Long, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Helen Harold of Bishop, S.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 D Street, followed by a private burial.

Mary SK Amina

Mary SK Amina, 20, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 5, 1982, in Honolulu. A resident for six years, she was a cashier.

She is survived by her father, Edward IP Amina Sr., of Nanakuli, Hawaii; her mother and stepfather, Debra and George Steil, and four sisters, Charlene Pitre, Tiffany Amina, Icelyn Amina and Rae-Dean Amina, all of Las Vegas; four brothers, Edward IP Amina Jr. of Las Vegas and James Amina, Seth Amina and Able Amina, all of Nanakuli; and her grandparents, Fredrick Amina Sr. of Nanakuli and Elsie and Ralph Puchalski, both of Honolulu.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

Jason Burnett

Jason Burnett, 23, of Las Vegas died Friday in Fresno, Calif. He was born Dec. 9, 1978, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for 12 years, he was a supervisor at Mission Linen Co. for five years and was a member of the Teamsters Union.

He is survived by his wife, Lindsay; one son, Damion Burnett, and his parents, Mark Mendez and Debra Young-Mendez, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Janica Meiners of Kaysville, Utah, Shana Park of Byron, Ga., and Angela Burnett of Las Vegas; and his grandmother, LaRee Young of Roy, Utah.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. to 7:59 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Dr. Kirk Vern Cammack Jr.

Dr. Kirk Vern Cammack Jr., 75, of Las Vegas died Nov. 27 in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 20, 1927, in Rock Springs, Wyo. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired surgeon, Vietnam War Navy veteran, and a member of Southwest Surgical Association, Western Surgical Association, American Association of Surgery of Trauma, American Trauma Society and the Government American College Surgeon Nevada Chapter.

He is survived by his wife, Eve; four sons, Kirk V. Cammack III of Grass Valley, Calif., Michael Cammack of British Columbia and Andrew Cammack and Jonathan D. Cammack, both of Utah; two stepdaughters, Katherine Black of Las Vegas and Jackie Karnavous of San Diego; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Arthur B. Campbell

Arthur B. Campbell, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 28, 1931, in Bonaparte, Iowa.

He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Campbell and Carla Caravalho, both of Kingman; five brothers, Earl Campbell of Las Vegas, Glenn Campbell of Mount Vernon, Wash., Dean Campbell of Bonaparte, Iowa, Wayne Campbell of Chillicothe, Mo., and Wendell Campbell of Fort Madison, Iowa; two sisters, Joyce Gordon of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Donna Folker of Bonaparte; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Gail V. Cooke

Gail V. Cooke, 50, of Las Vegas died Nov. 21 in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 29, 1952, in New York. A resident for six years, she was a scheduler for Desert Radiology.

She is survived by three sons, Jason A. Cooke of Fort Bragg, N.C., Eric Cooke of Las Vegas and Bryan Cooke of Lompoc, Calif.; one brother, Richard Cooke of New York; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 7 p.m. Friday in Silver Bell Chapel, 616 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Burial will be private. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Violet 'Joy' Craig

Violet "Joy" Craig, 67, died Monday in Henderson. She was born July 19, 1935, in Canada. A former Las Vegas resident for 20 years, she was a retired bookkeeper and casino worker.

She is survived by two daughters, Autumn Lemke of Henderson and Sylvia Craig of Placentia, Calif.; two sons, Bruce Craig of Seattle and James Craig of Los Angeles; and five grandchildren.

Lois E. Erickson

Lois E. Erickson, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born March 26, 1935, in McCook, Neb. A resident for 32 years, she was a retired cashier.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; one son, Jason Erickson, and three daughters, Diane Lable, Sheri Erickson and Melinda Graydon, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Marvin Dack of Anaheim, Calif., and Larry Dack of Denver; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Enrique A. Fernandez

Enrique A. Fernandez, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 24, 1935, in Havana. A resident for 40 years, he was disabled.

He is survived by two sisters, Carmen Fernandez of Las Vegas and Haydee Fernandez of Cuba.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. service Friday at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. An additional service will be 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Robert L. Fish

Robert L. Fish, 62, of Las Vegas died Nov. 25 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 27, 1940, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 15 years, he was a card room manager for a local casino.

He is survived by his companion, Cynthia Toops; one son, William Toops; one daughter, Kimberly Gutermuth; and one brother, Daniel.

Services will be private. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Robert Flint

Robert Flint, 74, of Las Vegas died Oct. 24 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 28, 1928.

No services are scheduled. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Brent Douglas Gordon

Brent Douglas Gordon, 39, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 2, 1963, in California. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he owned a construction company.

He is survived by one son, James; three brothers, Brian, Bruce and Brad.

Huey L. Helms

Huey L. Helms, 50, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 14, 1952, in Louisville, Ga. A resident for 25 years, he was an electrician and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; one stepdaughter, Melissa Hilton, and one son, Jamie Petsche, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Mae Helms of Louisville; and two sisters, Betty Black of Millen, Ga., and Sandy Screws of Swainsboro, Ga.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Ida M. Jones

Ida M. Jones, 56, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 16, 1946, in Alexandria, La. A resident for eight years, she was a manager for a bank.

She is survived by one son, Kevon Jones of Las Vegas; one sister, Juanita Johnson of Baton Rouge, La.; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Catherine Violet Kirinich

Catherine Violet Kirinich, 71, of Las Vegas died Nov. 14 in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 23, 1931, in Joliet, Ill. A resident for nine years, she worked in retail.

She is survived by one son, Paul M. Kirinich; one daughter, Patricia A. Rivas; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive.

Stella Lepczyk

Stella Lepczyk, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 21, 1917, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 42 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; two sons, Don Lepczyk and Mike Lepczyk; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services Sunday at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Jean Moore

Jean Moore, 68, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 6, 1934, in Salem, Mass. A resident for 44 years, she was a teacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Kellie Moore of Henderson; one son, David Moore of Willow, Mont.; and one grandchild.

Norma Ferretti Moran

Norma Ferretti Moran, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 27, 1932, in Anaconda, Mont. A resident for 36 years, she was a sales associate, member of the Las Vegas Chapter of the Sudden Infant Death Alliance and a schoolteacher for 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, M. Terry Moran; three sons, Kevin N. Moran of California, Kenny Moran of Arizona and Brian D. Moran of Las Vegas; two daughters, Shauna M. Moran and Susan Moran, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Barbara Boryan of Arlington, Va., and Mary Anne Sladich of Anaconda; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 7 p.m. rosary today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Mass will be celebrated 1:45 p.m. Friday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way, followed by graveside services in Memory Gardens.

Kimberly Parrish, 37, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 13, 1965, in Van Nuys, Calif. A resident for two years, she was in marketing.

She is survived by one son, Sean Flavin of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; her mother, Dorothy Parrish of Las Vegas; one brother, Dan Parrish of Redondo Beach, Calif.

Savannah Pace Prescia

Savannah Pace Prescia, died Monday, her date of birth, in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 2, 2002, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Brooke P. and Anthony Prescia II, two brothers, Justin and Jared, and her grandparents, Paul and Verna Pace and Anthony and Nancy Prescia, all of Las Vegas.

Michael Francis Price Jr.

Michael Francis Price Jr., 74, of Las Vegas died Nov. 25 in a local care center. He was born Oct. 9, 1928, in New Jersey. A resident for 14 years, he was an associate for a hotel and a member of the Culinary Union.

He is survived by one daughter, Diane Murray of Bergen County, N.J.; two sisters, Margaret Cassidy of Cape May, N.J., and Susanne Lee or Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Fred E. Sherman, 67, of Las Vegas died Oct. 26, in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 3, 1935, in Massachusetts.

He is survived by two brothers, James Sherman and Ronnie Sherman; and one sister, Gretchen Albano.

Christine Totten, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born May 28, 1925, in Olyphant, Pa. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Pierson and Sharon Pryor, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Andre L. Whitfield

Andre L. Whitfield, 42, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 25, 1960, in Ohio. A resident for many years, he was the chief engineer at Madame Tussaud.

He is survived by his parents, Bernice and Willie Whitfield of Cleveland; and one sister, Karen Whitfield-Bogan of Las Vegas.

Eva L. Zamorano

Eva L. Zamorano, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 27, 1927, in Mexico. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Zamorano and David Zamorano, both of Las Vegas; five daughters, Norma Cook, David Geiger, Marilyn Zamorano and Sandra Zamorano, all of Las Vegas, and Graciela Perez of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Guadalupe Dominguez of El Paso, Texas; one brother, Javier Romero of Mexico; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
