Thought field therapy class set
The Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence will host a "thought field therapy" class from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Thought field therapy is used to relieve traumatic memories and releases excess emotional charges and frees up one's innate process of growth.
Admission is $25 To register for the class, call the center at 616-4900. The center is at 100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite No. 330.
Play will benefit children's groups
"The Velveteen Rabbit," a play presented by the Boulder City Rainbow Girls, will be performed at 1 p.m. Sunday; 10 a.m. Dec. 14; and 1 p.m. Dec. 15 in the BC Cinemas and Events Center at the Hacienda hotel.
The production is a charity fund-raiser for the Variety Club, a local children's charity. The play is also being offered as a holiday gift to local children's groups including the Regina House and the Boys and Girls Club. Donations are being accepted to provide each child from these organizations with a small gift. Tickets may be obtained by donation, and reservations are recommended.

Mortuary hosting remembrance tree
The annual Tree of Remembrance and Candle Lighting Service will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Bunkers Mortuary Chapel, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Families are invited to bring an ornament in memory of their loved one or an ornament will be provided at no charge if one is needed. The ornaments will be kept on the tree until Jan. 4. To RSVP, call 385-1441.
Tour planned of black colleges
High school students who want to participate in the eight annual "Unity Through Knowledge" black college tour may obtain a registration form from high school counseling offices or by visiting www.32ndst.us.
This year's educational spring break tour will visit the historical and predominately black colleges of Coppin, Hampton, Howard, Morgan State, Norfolk State, Virginia Union and Virginia State.

Church will offer health fair
A health information fair presented by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Imani Cathedral United Methodist Church, 2727 Civic Center Drive, North Las Vegas.
The fair will offer mammograms free to those who meet age and income requirements. Health questions will be answered and a foot specialist will be available for questions.

Take a sip of high tea, low stress
WB Stage 16 Restaurant, Canyon Ranch SpaClub and Gandini Fashions will present High Tea ... Low Stress, a fashion show from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Jack's Velvet Lounge at The Venetian.
For a minimum donation of $25, guests will enjoy high tea, low stress and an informal fashion show to benefit the Shade Tree, a 24-hour emergency shelter for abused women and women with children. Also, attendees will be eligible to win an overnight stay at The Venetian, a spa package for two and dinner at the WB Stage 16 Restaurant.

"Protecting Israel: A Soldier's Story,"
an opportunity to hear personal stories of sacrifice and devotion as told live by active duty IDF Israel defense force soldiers, will be 7 p.m. Monday at Bellagio. Admission is $18; $5 for seniors and full-time students. For more information or reservations, call 732-0556.
Stew Lobell, a local resident
and member of the National Wild Horse Association, will bring three adopted wild horses to the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday for the public to see and ask questions about. Rangers will be available to talk about the wild horse adoption process and wild horses in the Red Rock Canyon Area. For more information, call 363-1921.
