Ramona Betancourt

Ramona Betancourt, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born May 1, 1914, in Puerto Rico.

She is survived by one daughter, Marie Betancourt of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Puerto Rico. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Frances L. Bowers

Frances L. Bowers, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 11, 1918, in Antlers, Okla. A resident for 60 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, J.W.; one daughter, Elizabeth J. Ballan, one son, John Bowers, and one brother, Kenneth Scott, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be noon Wednesday in First Southern Baptist Church, 600 E. St. Louis St. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests donations to Arizona Baptist Children's Home, Phoenix, AZ.

Gina Rowan Bridenbaker

Gina Rowan Bridenbaker, 38, of North Las Vegas died Nov. 24 in a local care center. She was born Oct. 14, 1964, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident of Southern Nevada, she was an accounting clerk for a construction company.

She is survived by one daughter, Heather Bridenbaker, and one son, Jon J. Bridenbaker III, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Patti Rowan of North Las Vegas; her father, Donald Rowan of Reno; three sisters, Jennifer Rowan of North Las Vegas, Lori Inman of Reno and Venessa Rowan of Santa Monica, Calif.; and her great-grandmother, Rose Rowan of Bountiful, Utah.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Floyd M. Correll Sr.

Floyd M. Correll Sr., 81, of Las Vegas died Thursday in an assisted living home. He was born July 1, 1921, in Clovis, N.M. A resident for two years, he was a retired painting contractor, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a lifetime member of the Kiwanis and Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the Odd Fellows.

He is survived by two daughters, Floy Davis of Las Vegas and Donna Lynn Duncan of Lake City, Fla.; one son, Floyd Correll Jr. of North Las Vegas; one brother, Alvin Correll of Lubbock, Texas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Spring Valley Baptist Church, 3135 S. Rainbow Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Richard Flenker

Richard Flenker, 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A parts manager, he was born Dec. 12, 1945, in Iowa.

Cheryl 'Sheri' Jones

Cheryl "Sheri" Jones, 41, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 6, 1961, in Warren, Mich. A resident for two years, she was a collections specialist for a credit card company, a volunteer at Bruener Elementary School and a former Girl Scout leader.

She is survived by her husband, David; one daughter, K.C. Jones, and her father, Chester Weslo, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Mike Lumex, Tom Lumex and Christopher Weslo, all of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Laurie Lumex of Fort Lauderdale and Lisa Skelley of Cross City, Fla.; and her grandmother, Mary Rebar of Hollywood, Fla.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 7811 Vegas Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.

Andrew N. Korn

Andrew N. Korn, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 24, 1920, in Chicago. A resident for five years, he was a retired owner-operator of an ice cream shop, a World War II Army veteran, a lifetime member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10047 and a member of the Cooties.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine; one daughter, Barbara McIntosh of Grayslake, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Tuesday in Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10047, 4337 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Judith I. McIntyre

Judith I. McIntyre, 63, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 7, 1939, in Trent, S.D. A resident for six years, she was a real estate agent.

She is survived by her husband, James Jr.; one son, James McIntyre III of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Louann McIntyre of Henderson; one sister, Joan Bishop of Sewell, N.J.; one brother, David Jansen of Tampa, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Frank S. Nickolson

Frank S. Nickolson, 72, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 14, 1930, in Chicago. A resident for 7 1/2 years, he was a consultant, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of American Hellenic Educational Program of America, president of the Greek Orthodox Athletic Program in Chicago and a graduate of Officer Candidate School.

He is survived by his wife, Chloe; two daughters, Diane Nickolson of Chicago and Stephanie Nickolson of Grayslake, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

John Richards

John Richards, 64, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 16, 1938, New York. He was a handyman.

He is survived by three sons, Charlie Richards and Tony Richards, both of California, and Robert Richards of Las Vegas; one daughter, Sonya Richards of California; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be in California. Hites Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.

Ruth Lucille Roller

Ruth Lucille Roller, 92, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. A homemaker, she was born Oct. 11, 1910, in Indiana.

Mary Rybka

Mary Rybka, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Feb. 25, 1930, in Illinois.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur; two sons, James Rybka and Thomas Rybka, both of Illinois; two daughters, Peggy Salyers of Las Vegas and Lois Zalewski of Illinois; and five grandchildren.

Zora D. Walker-Sainsbury

Zora D. Walker-Sainsbury, 88, of Henderson died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born June 16, 1914, in Austria. A resident for 49 years, she retired as an executive secretary at Timet after 20 years and graduated from high school in Goldfield.

She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Bell of Henderson; two sons, Clemons F. Walker of Henderson and Ronald J. Walker of Las Vegas; one sister, Helen McLeod of Henderson; one brother, William Maroney of Pahrump; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Panaca Cemetery.

Albert M. Washington Sr.

Albert M. Washington Sr., 92, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 22, 1910, in New Orleans. A resident for 51 years, he was a retired military civil servant.

He is survived by four daughters, Marrion Washington and Linda Taylor, both of Las Vegas, and Lavon Trotter and Linda Johnson, both of Hattiesburg, Miss.; six sons, George Range Jr. of Hattiesburg, Charles Washington of Pahrump, Albert Washington Jr. of Seattle, Walter Washington of Poulsbo, Wash., and Alexander Washington and Ivy Washington, both of Las Vegas; 34 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
