Letter: Bush practices risky politics

All the saber-rattling by President Bush about Iraq is far more than trying to correct the failure of his father to get Saddam Hussein in Desert Storm.

More important to Bush is the timing of his threats, which are clearly (in my view) intended to divert attention from his failed economic policies and his recession during the upcoming elections.

Can you imagine the Arab oil nations cutting off our oil supplies -- a real possibility -- if we unilaterally attack?

Dangerous politics on the part of our appointed president.
