Roland U. Bley
Roland U. Bley, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Longmont, Colo. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired carpenter and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia; two daughters, Maryellen Bley of Longmont and Starla Martinez of Thorton, Colo.; two sons, Stephen Sterkel of Broomfield, Colo., and Timothy Sterkel of Oak Harbor, Wash.; two sisters, Margaret Tomich of Longmont and Betty Lapena of Commerce City, Colo.; one brother, Robert Bley of Longmont; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Gerald Louis Connor
Gerald Louis Connor, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 16, 1930, in Dedham, Mass. A resident for 52 years, he was a teacher and principal for the Clark County School District, a Korean War Air Force veteran, past president of the Clark County Teachers Association, past executive director of the Nevada Association of School Administrators and the Clark County Association of School Administrators.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol M.; two sons, Gerald Connor and Dennis Connor, one sister, Judy May of South Carolina; one brother, Randall Connor of Massachusetts; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, 6500 W. Flamingo Road. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Catherine M. Crand
Catherine M. Crand, 96, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 4, 1905, in New York City. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Irene Flynn of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Catherine La Prade of Fitchburg, Mass.; five sons, John Crand of Melbourne, Fla., Thomas Crand of Las Vegas, George Richard Crand of Westminster, Calif., Robert Crand of Somers, Conn., and David Crand of Enfield, Conn.; 37 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Bonnie Ray Foster Sr.
Bonnie Ray Foster Sr., 54, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 5, 1948, in Cuero, Texas. A resident for 37 years, he was an assembler at a convention center and member of Teamsters Local 631.
He is survived by his wife, Delores A.; four daughters, Tiffany Foster, Gigi Foster, Kerry Foster and Chandra Brown, one son, Bonnie Ray Foster Jr., his mother, Margie Blackwell, and one brother, Willie Ray Smith, all of Las Vegas; and 17 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Richard M. Gartner, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 19, 1939, in Albany, N.Y. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired account adjuster and Coast Guard veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; three sons, Kenneth and Shawn Paulsen, both of Las Vegas, and Richard Patey of Waianae, Hawaii; two daughters, Linda King of Fort Meyers, Fla., and Christine Pellerin of Delanson, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.

Thomas Halagan, 90, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 25, 1912, in Cambridge, Mass. A resident for one year, he was a music teacher, a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a trombone player in several bands in California.
He is survived by one sister, Helen Frankot, and one brother, John Halagan, both of Las Vegas.

Clyde L. Jacobs Jr.
Clyde L. Jacobs Jr., 49, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born July 4, 1953, in Warren, Ark. A resident for 39 years, he was disabled.
He is survived by his mother, Essie J. Jacobs, and one brother, Jerome Jacobs, both of Las Vegas; seven sisters, Wanda Proctor of Fordyce, Ark., Bernice Turner, Sarah Houston, Sherry Jacobs, Tonya Jacobs and Sonjia Jacobs, all of Las Vegas, and Brenda Maxwell of Sacramento.

Ada M. Kite, 94, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born July 24, 1908, in Cheyenne, Wyo. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired nurse.
She is survived by four daughters, Maxine M. Cox of Tacoma, Wash., Ruby M. Hurst of Las Vegas, Lenna L. Baker of Puyallup, Wash., and Barbara J. Davis of Lacey, Wash.; one son, Earl W. Mauer of Reno; 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Sam A. Marak, 67, of Searchlight died Sunday in Searchlight. A lineman, he was born Sept. 16, 1934, in Oklahoma.
He is survived by three sons, Joseph Allen Marak of Searchlight, Peter Paul Marak of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Sammy A. Marak of Henderson; eight daughters, Brocksie K. Bennett and Donna Marie Hasting, both of Henderson, Susan A. Geddes of Richland, Wash., Jamill Lynn Lieurance, Jennifer Ellen Marak, Michelle Y. Marak and Debra Pinkerton, all of Searchlight, and Jo-Ann Williams of Taylor, Ariz.; one brother, Ted Marak of Bourne, Texas; one sister, Betty Jo Marak of Georgetown, Texas; 36 grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Helen L. Moore, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 1, 1937, in Maryland. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired casino change woman.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest; her father, Frank Hopson; one son, Thomas Ray Stine; three daughters, Patricia Karen Thompson, Tina Elaine Lai and Rita Anne Moore; two brothers, Fred Hopson and Ray Hopson; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Jeredith J. Mugavero, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1935, in Ironwood, Mich. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired computer operator, a member of Forever Young and Merry Widows of Erva.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Lahmayer of Back River Falls, Wis., and Kitt Howard of Dallas; four sons, Frank Lang of Wausau, Wis., Karl Lang of Mosinee, Wis., Tim Lang of Austin, Wis., and Kurt Lang of Las Vegas; her mother, Marion Mae Stratos, and three sisters, Daphne Parker, Diana Gardner and Penny Alexander, all of Miami; and seven grandchildren.

John Neal, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 18, 1924, in Hot Springs, Ark. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired Nevada Test Site elevator constructor for 32 years, a member of the Elks and International Union of Elevator Constructors.
He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Jidov and Kathy Dockter, both of Las Vegas; two sons, John P. Neal of Encinitas, Pa., and Jeff Neal of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5:30 p.m. until a 7 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Calif.

Monroe Phillips, 71, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born March 21, 1931, in Tallulah, Mo. A resident for 60 years, he was a retired Clark County School District custodian supervisor, trustee of Elks Lodge 1508 and a member of the Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita; four daughters, Peggy Phillips-Buie, Sherrie Glass, Judy Gatlin and Wanda Flanagan, and one brother, Charles Moore, all of Las Vegas; seven sisters, Dora Lee Harper of Compton, Calif., Claree Banks of Los Angeles and Irene Moore-Childress, Arlene Moore, Martha William, Patricia McNeal and Vera Moore, all of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. Friday with a 6 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Saturday with a 6 p.m. service at Palm.
Timothy Scott Poore
Timothy Scott Poore, 39, of Las Vegas died Sunday. He was born July 25, 1963, in Whittier, Calif. A resident for one year, he was a member of the Southern Nevada Youth Wrestling Association and was a coach at Cimarron-Memorial High School.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly; two sons, Andrew Poore and Alex Poore, and one daughter, Amelia Poore, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Ray and Glenna Poore of California; two brothers, Michael Poore of Oregon and Faron Poore of Washington state; and two sisters, Patricia Edwards of Missouri and Evelyn Lee of Washington.

Anne M. Puttre, 88, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 29, 1913, in Erie, Pa. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Dzienius of Henderson; one son, Dr. Edward J. Puttre Jr. of California; two sisters, Elizabeth Poh of Warton, N.J., and Mary Black of Arizona; one brother, Stephen P. Lovas Sr. of Florida; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Eugenia C. Roberts
Eugenia C. Roberts, 89, of Lake Oswego, Ore., died Friday in a care center. She was born Aug. 26, 1912, in San Jose, Calif. A resident for 60 years, she owned and operated Roberts School of Dance where she taught ballet, founder of the Civic Ballet of Las Vegas, a Las Vegas Parks and Recreational assistant, a member of the Soroptimists of Greater Las Vegas and St. Jude's Auxiliary and was treasurer of Actors Guild.
She is survived by two daughters, E. Claire Rundles of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Camille Rose Ortiz of Burbank, Calif.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Arthur B. Silvers, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Boulder City. He was born Jan. 26, 1918, in Michigan. He was a retired owner of A&M Marine Boat Shop and a member of the Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Grace; one son, Richard Silvers of Henderson; two daughters, Darlene Mann of Colorado and Ardis Ross of Boulder City; one sister, Helen Pietroski of Michigan; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary D.; five daughters, Willie Greer of Fort Worth, Texas, and Dorothy Williams, Carrie Mitchell, Ruby Davis and Kathy Williams, all of Las Vegas; one son, Ray Williams of Las Vegas; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Rose K. Zimmerman, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 8, 1916, in Philadelphia. A resident for four years, she was a retired administrative assistant for Sens. Francis Myers of Pennsylvania, Thomas Hennings of Missouri and Paul Sarbanes of Maryland, was a member of the ceramics club, aerobics clubs and computer clubs and a retired professional artist with works in the permanent collection of the Baltimore Museum of Art.
She is survived by her husband, Sidney; one son, Edward M. Zimmerman M.D. of Las Vegas; one sister, Helen K. Abrams of Ventnor, N.J.; and two grandchildren.
