Video poker chain expands in Las Vegas

Bar, grill and video poker chain Timbers Hospitality Group has broken ground on its eighth Las Vegas location, with an expected opening by the end of the year.

The restaurant, at the corner of Ann Road and Simmons Street, features a "rustic lodge" theme with logging artifacts and forest murals.

The bar is 6,500 square feet, including a family dining room, a separate bar, lounge, entertainment area, pool tables, TV viewing area and video poker.

The company has four other locations planned for next year and expects to expand into the Reno-Sparks area in 2004. The northwest location marks the company's fourth new restaurant in the past year.
