A company associated with a Phoenix time-share developer that has units in Las Vegas is planning a 24-hour golf center north of McCarran International Airport.
Greens Worldwide Inc., Las Vegas, plans to build The Greens of Las Vegas on 20 acres on the northwest corner of Paradise Road and Tropicana Avenue.
Joseph Martori, chairman and chief executive officer of ILX Resorts Inc., Phoenix, is chairman of Greens Worldwide and ILX is an investor in the company. ILX operates six time-share properties in Arizona, one in Indiana, one in Colorado and one in San Carlos, Mexico.
The golf center, being designed by the Dye Design Group, will feature 24 grass putting greens set up as a series of courses. The greens will be modeled after famous putting greens worldwide. The center would replace the Las Vegas International Golf Center 120-station driving range.
The firm plans to begin building the center later this year or in early 2003.
