Arthur Thomas Amador
Arthur Thomas Amador, 52, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 18, 1950, in Long Beach, Calif. A resident for 21 years, he was a state government supervisor and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle M.; four daughters, Rita Painter, Nicole Amador, Kimberly Amador, and Alexandra Amador, and two step-daughters, Taylor Medlin and Sydney Medlin, all of Henderson; his mother and father, Edna and Arthur Amador of Los Alamitos, Calif.; one brother, Paul Amador and one sister, Irene Doyle, both of Orange, Calif.
Visitation, followed by services will be 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Joy Faye Anderson-Armstrong
Joy Faye Anderson-Armstrong, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 12, 1926, in Hobart, Okla. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired optician.
She is survived by three sons, Gearld Anderson and Darrell L. Andreson, both of Las Vegas, and Gary D. Anderson of Los Banos, Calif.; one daughter, Karen S. Blackwell of Henderson; one sister, Adeline Spruill of Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary-Eastern, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Robert G. Cantrell
Robert G. Cantrell, 63, of Las Vegas died Aug. 16 in Las Vegas. He was born June 4, 1939, in Mount Pleasant, Okla. A resident for 30 years he was a casino supervisor and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his son, Jay Cantrell of Tennessee.
Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Arragements are being handled by Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Guy W. Carducci
Guy W. Carducci, 66, of Pahrump died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 12, 1935, in Altoona, Pa. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired craps dealer, a Korean War veteran and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2672 Henderson.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy H.; one son, Guy W. Carducci II of Las Vegas; one daughter, Patricia J. Carducci-Rios of Pahrump; three brothers, Sam Carducci and Louis Carducci, both of Las Vegas, and John Carducci of Henderson; two sisters, Angelina Anderson of Henderson, and Nora Beth Krell of Overton; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Frank Chastain
Frank Chastain, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 18, 1936, in Birston, Okla. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired grocery clerk, a Korean War Army veteran, and a member of a Santa Maria, Calif., Elks lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Shelley Cunningham and Sherrie Chastain, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Anna Chastain, and three brothers, Bill Chastain, Ron Chastain and Kenny Chastain, all of Visalia, Calif.; two sisters, Wanda Oswalt of Visalia, Calif., and Ruth Garrison of Salt Lake City; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Arrangements are being handled by Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Ada M. Cole
Ada M. Cole, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 14, 1914, in Midway, Miss. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired health care worker and a foster grandparent.
She is survived by three sisters, Emma Jackson of Las Vegas, Helen Parish of Cincinnati, and Dorothy Hunter of San Bernardino, Calif.
Visitation will be one hour prior to 11 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Cemetery.
Richard William Darnold
Richard William Darnold, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday. He was born April 18, 1935, in Los Angeles. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired casino pit supervisor and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons, Rick Darnold of Las Vegas and Steven Darnold of Fallon; one daughter, Suzanne Darnold of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Additional services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, followed by graveside services in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Willie Mae Downey
Willie Mae Downey, 87, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 31, 1915, in Georgia. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by five sons, George Downey, Ken Downey and Bobby Downey, all of Las Vegas, Wynn Downey of Pahrump and Jerry Downey of Winston Salem, N.C.; one daughter, Pearl Thompson of Wilhoit, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was scheduled 2-6 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary Chapel, followed by burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Joseph "Robert" Dube
Joseph "Robert" Dube, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 24, 1934, in Lewiston, Maine. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired accountant and a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Claire; one son, Eric Paul Dube of Las Vegas; one daughter, Sandra J. Dube of North Glen, Colo.; two brothers, Gerard Dube of Lisbon Falls, Maine, and Gilbert Dube of Florida; and two sisters, Muriel Saucier of Maine and Nancy Prudhomme of Lewiston.
Arrangements are being handled by Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Frank E. Fromhertz
Frank E. Fromhertz, 96, of Pahrump, died Friday in Pahrump. He was born Dec. 7, 1905, in California. A resident of Las Vegas for 22 years and then Pahrump for eight years, he was a construction plasterer and a member of the Plasterers Local 797.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia M.; one son, Robert A. Fromhertz of Florida; one daughter Esme Jean Heimbach of California; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Edna A. Goodside
Edna A. Goodside, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 13, 1917, in Humbolt, Iowa. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired hotel hostess and a member of the Sioux Falls, S.D., Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one son, Carl A. Beebe Sr. of Las Vegas; one daughter, Carolyn Ricker of Yorba Linda, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
The family suggests donations to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
Drew Madison Haynie
Drew Madison Haynie, 10 days old, of Las Vegas died Aug. 19, in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 9, 2002, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her grandmother, Corinne Haynie Gustafson, her step-grandfather, Brad 'Gus' Gustafson, both of Las Vegas; her step-grandmother, Donna Haynie, three uncles, Jason Smith, Josh Haynie and Jeremiah Haynie, and her great-grandparents, Joe and Dorothy Cherek, all of Nebraska; her great-grandparents, Don Sr. and Dorothy Haynie of Missouri; and her great-great-grandmother, Agnes Nittler of Iowa.

Jessica Lee Haynie, 24, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1977, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for 10 years, she was a spa massage therapist.
She is survived by her mother, Corinne Haynie Gustafson, her step-father, Brad 'Gus' Gustafson, both of Las Vegas; her step-mother, Donna Haynie, three brothers, Jason Smith, Josh Haynie, and Jeremiah Haynie, and her grandparents, Joe and Dorothy Cherek, all of Nebraska; her grandparents, Don Sr. and Dorothy Haynie of Missouri; and her great-grandmother, Agnes Nittler of Iowa.

Ann (Annette) Koenig, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 28, 1942, in Milwaukee. A resident for four years, she was a retired registered nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Kent; two sons, Karl of Minneapolis and George of Appleton, Wis.; two daughters, Karen Schubert of Champaign, Ill., and Liesl Koenig of Newton, Mass.; one brother, G. Paul Bader of LaFarge, Wis.; one sister, Mary Dewhurst of Sedona, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Vera Madison
Vera Madison, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 18, 1918, in Tupper Lake, N.Y. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired hospital laundry worker.
She is survived by her son, Bill Olivey of Las Vegas; one brother, Ed Foote of Massena, N.Y.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Helen F. Martin
Helen F. Martin, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 21, 1913, in Flower Mound, Texas. A resident for 43 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Robert T. Martin of Hong Kong; two daughters, Fran Dell and Mary H. Shrader, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Tom Floyd of Denton, Texas; one sister, Margaret Duncan of Dallas; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 7:30 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Tommie R. Modgling
Tommie R. Modgling, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Wilson, Okla. A resident for seven years, he was a retired metrologist for the federal government and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Mike Wingate of Camp Verde, Ariz., Keith Modgling and Bill Modgling, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Roy Modgling of Chino, Calif.; three sisters, Dorothy Vanduesen of Las Vegas, Charlene Hawes of Tulsa, Okla., and Ruth Wells of Big Bear Lake, Calif.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be in California. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. is handling arrangements.

Lyle Palmer
Lyle Palmer, 77, of Las Vegas died Aug. 20, in Las Vegas. He was born May, 19, 1925, in Detroit. A resident for 13 years, he was a driver for the city of San Diego.
He is survived by one son, Michael Palmer of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Keith Palmer of Michigan, and Johnny Palmer and Alan Palmer, both of San Diego.
Services and burial will be 11:20 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Ida Mae Perkins
Ida Mae Perkins, 61, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 14, 1940, in McCalla Ala. A resident for 43 years, she was a telephone operator.
She is survived by two daughters, Sondra Johnson and Kim Johnson, one brother, Jesse Simpson Jr., and one sister, Elizabeth Jones, all of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 1025 Balzar Ave., followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Curtiss Aaron Platt
Curtiss Aaron Platt, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 25, 1927, in Edgewood, Iowa. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired inspector for the Air Pollution Division of Clark County Health Department and a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann; three sons, Greg Platt, Jeff Platt and Brad Platt, all of Las Vegas; three daughters, Nancy Swart of Salt Lake City and Ann Craig and Kristen Scribner, both of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.

Dorothy F. Van Sickle
Dorothy F. Van Sickle, 98, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care facility. She was born Aug. 11, 1904, in Randolph, Iowa. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Pool of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will follow 2 p.m. memorial services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
