Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002 | 9:47 a.m.
Odartey Blankson has transferred to UNLV from Marquette University, according to men's basketball coach Charlie Spoonhour.
Blankson has enrolled at UNLV and will not be eligible to play during the 2002-03 season because of NCAA transfer rules. He will be permitted to practice with this year's team and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2003-04 season.
Blankson, a 6-7-foot, 225-pound junior forward from Chicago, played two seasons with the Golden Eagles, where he averaged 7.2 points and almost six rebounds per game.
