Robert Michael Alpert
Robert Michael Alpert, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 13, 1940, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for eight years, he was a restaurateur and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; two sons, Billy Alpert and Russ Alpert, and one daughter, Pam Berrien, all of Walnut Creek, Calif.; his mother, Evelyn Alpert of Camarillo, Calif.; two brothers, Steve Alpert of Paso Robles, Calif., and Ron Alpert of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Lucy Catrambone
Lucy Catrambone, 96, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Dec. 11, 1905, in Pennsylvania.
Burial will be in Cherry Hill, N.J. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Mary Elizabeth Dean
Mary Elizabeth Dean, 72, of Las Vegas died Aug. 17 in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Bernie, Mo. A resident for nine years, she was a retired cook for the Mississippi Barge Co.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Ettinger of Florida; and one son, William Dean of Indiana.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
Johnnie Donald
Johnnie Donald, 57, of Las Vegas died July 26 in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1944, in Chicago. A resident for four months, he was a security officer, a Vietnam War Navy veteran and a member of the Prayer Center.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalyn Noisette; three daughters, Melanie Donald of Las Vegas and Tara Donald and Nya Williams, both of Gulfport, Miss.; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Floyd D. Hilliard Jr.
Floyd D. Hilliard Jr., 1, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 13, 2001, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his parents, Oyetta and Floyd Darnell Hilliard Sr., two sisters, Jameisha Dukes and Tiera Hilliard, and two brothers, James Dukes and Maharie Trotter, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Adolph 'Al' Marcus
Adolph "Al" Marcus, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born April 29, 1923, in Chicago. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired automobile mechanic, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Masons, Royal Archs, Scottish Rite and Shriners.
He is survived by his wife, Marti; three sons, Robert Marcus and Scott Bowles, both of Las Vegas, and Ken Marcus of Chicago; two daughters, Sandie Glock and Michele Mittemiller, both of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Antoinette Long-McCollum
Antoinette Long-McCollum, 50, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born May 21, 1952, in Georgia. A resident for 20 years, she was a deli clerk at a grocery store.
She is survived by her husband, Gene; two daughters, Sunday McCollum and Dominique McCollum, and one son, Christopher McCollum, all of Las Vegas; her father, Dallas Long of Georgia; and three sisters, Belinda Long, Debra Long and Nedra Long, all of Detroit.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation. A private burial will follow.
Norma G. Parker
Norma G. Parker, 85, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 5, 1917, in Montana. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Karl R. Parker of San Diego and John R. Parker of Las Vegas; one daughter, Patricia Payne of Boise, Idaho; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday with services following at 1 p.m. in the LDS chapel at Grand Canyon and Desert Inn roads. Burial will be in Colorado. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Robert Thomas Paterson
Robert Thomas Paterson, 59, of Las Vegas died Aug. 9 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 26, 1942, in Hammond, Ind. A resident for four years, he was a salesman at Harmon Publishing.
He is survived by two sons, Jeff Peterson and Todd Raybuck, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sherry Bielfeldt of Denver and Laura Lara of Las Vegas; one brother, James Paterson of Seymour, Tenn.; two sisters, Julie Hollinger of Noblesville, Ind., and Beth Loney of Indiana.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.
Nancy L. Scott
Nancy L. Scott, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 4, 1937, in Las Vegas. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired manager for an aircraft business.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Fox of Las Vegas and Avoia Lee of Amargosa; one son, Timothy Scott of Las Vegas; four sisters, Bobbie and Joy, both of California, Marilyn of Las Vegas and Judy of Arizona; one brother, Robert Shaffer of California; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Dr. Arthur A. Siniscal
Dr. Arthur A. Siniscal, 96, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 9, 1905, in Newark, N.J. A resident for five years, he was a retired physician, an Army veteran, a professor emeritas at St. Louis University and a member of the American Medical Association.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Siniscal Hartrich of Sitka, Alaska, and Anne Sinsical Brickner of Seattle; two sons, Albert Vincent Siniscal of Henderson and John Arthur Siniscal of Hinsdale, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will follow at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road; and eight grandchildren.
Gary Slider
Gary Slider, 23, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 25, 1979, in Chicago. A resident for four years, he was a retired automotive sales manager at Perfect Auto Store.
He is survived by one daughter, Kaitlyn Slider, and his companion, Alicia Adcock, both of Fremont, Neb.; his parents, Darlene and James Madden of Nicholasville, Ky.; two brothers, Richard Slider of Las Vegas and T.J. Slider of Nicholasville; one sister, Tammy Smith of Dayton, Ohio; one stepsister, April Madden of Lexington, Ky.; one stepbrother, Jonathon Madden; and his grandmother, Buelah Taylor, both of Nicholasville.
