BOZEMAN, Mont. -- The Bozeman City Commission has voted 5-0 to adopt an indoor smoking ban that excludes bars and casinos.
The action came at a special meeting Tuesday after the comission unanimously rejected a proposal to ask voters to decide in November whether bars and casinos should be included in the ban.
"With this ordinance we ensure even more protections for the public, while still allowing some smoking bars to occur in our city," Mayor Steve Kirchhoff said.
"This ordinance protects public health and provides for the choice we've heard so many folks clamoring for."
