Anthony Michael Alessi

Anthony Michael Alessi, 27, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in California. He was born Feb. 12, 1975, in New York. A resident for 25 years, he was an electrician.

He is survived by his parents, Tony and Pat Alessi, five sisters, Gina Alessi, Shar-Mesha Alessi, La Tasha Alessi, Ashley Alessi and Alessandra Alessi, three brothers, Robert Alessi, Christopher Alessi and Alan Vas, and his grandmother, Rose Alessi, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Everett 'Andy' Anderson

Everett "Andy" Anderson, 73, of Pahrump died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 30, 1929, in Illinois. A resident for 12 years, he was an Army veteran, a member of the Elks, Moose and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; one son, Greg Anderson of California; one daughter, Teresa Mir of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Marcia Thomas of Las Vegas and Sue Haub of Arizona; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Carole Block

Carole Block, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 11, 1933, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for eight years, she was an accountant.

She is survived by her husband, Charles S.; one daughter, Arlene T. DeAngelo, and one son, Andrew N. Block, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Rita Roder of New York; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Mildred L. Carlton

Mildred L. Carlton, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 18, 1920, in North Dakota. A resident for 45 years, she was an office manager and former member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by one brother, Harold Gray of Ephrata, Wash.; and one sister, Jeanette Price of Bellingham, Wash.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Santana Gonzalez Chavez

Santana Gonzalez Chavez, 49, of Las Vegas died Friday. He was born July 26, 1953, in Acapulco, Mexico. A resident for eight years, he was a construction worker and organized soccer leagues in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Antonio Ramirez, and two sons, Eddy Ramirez and Pedro Ramirez, both of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

Haskell Allen Colbert

Haskell Allen Colbert, 72, of Indian Springs, died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 9, 1930, in Oklahoma. A resident for nine years, he was a carpenter and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one son, Thomas A. Colbert of Pahrump; one daughter, Lori Lee Ohmer of Indian Springs; two stepdaughters, Flora May Davis of Onalaska, Wash., and Barbara Frances Haupt of Abilene, Texas; her mother, Hazel Fay Colbert of Adrian, Ore.; one brother, Lendle Jay Colbert of Texas; two sisters, LaVada Bishoff of Las Vegas and Peggy Barnett of Adrian; and two grandsons.

Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Emily Collins

Emily Collins, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 3, 1919, in Cleveland, Ohio. A resident for 16 years, she worked for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph for 19 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

She is survived by her husband, Glen.

Evelyn M. Enos

Evelyn M. Enos, 62, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 28, 1939, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 42 years, she was a registered nurse.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Fletcher of Las Vegas; one son, George Kline of Dallas; her mother, Lurlena Rose of Tallulah; one brother, Lonnie Rose of Las Vegas; three sisters, Betty Clark of Tallulah, Patricia Hootsell of New Orleans and Mary Ann Smith of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Ebenezer Church of God in Christ, 1072 W. Bartlett Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Lawrence W. Fish

Lawrence W. Fish, 95, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 23, 1907, in Leominister, Mass. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired slot manager at Circus Circus, a member of Masons Daylite Lodge 44, Dhahran 55, Scottish Rite and York Rite lodges.

He is survived by two sons, Lawrence Fish Jr. of Binghamton, N.Y., and Nelson Fish of Las Vegas; one daughter, Sally A. Woster of Florida; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Kenneth Carl Haren

Kenneth Carl Haren, 55, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 9, 1947, in Utah. A resident for 12 years, he owned and operated Grendels Arms, was a retired Navy E-7 and Vietnam War veteran and a member of Kingdom of Aragon.

He is survived by his wife, Tsuyumi; one son, Carl Haren, one daughter, Misty McDonald, and his mother, Carlotta Haren, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Dave Haren and Steve Haren; two sisters, Mary Anne Walker and Judy Holly; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Dallas Harper

Dallas Harper, 54, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 31, 1947, in Dayton, Wash. A resident for 15 years, he was a taxicab driver, a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran and a union steward for the local taxi companies.

He is survived by his wife, Ola; one son, Randy Harper of Henderson; three sisters; six brothers; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:40 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Eleanor 'Gram' Lawton

Eleanor "Gram" Lawton, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Dayton, Ohio. A resident for 29 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Judi Willis and Jan Williams, both of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Lola Clelia Martini

Lola Clelia Martini, 83, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born March 16, 1919, in Chicago. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired entertainer and restaurateur.

She is survived by one daughter, Christina DeOvando; one brother, Clare Martini; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Mark M. Medice

Mark M. Medice, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born June 4, 1917, in Apollo, Pa. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired production manager and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Eve; two daughters, Cindy Barker of Fort Meyers, Fla., and Terri Jones of Pittsburgh; three brothers, Orlando Medice and Richard Medice, both of New Kensington, Pa., and Art Medice of Cochranton, Pa.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Virginia Miller

Virginia Miller, 92, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 11, 1909, in Coalgate, Okla. A resident for 40 years, she owned a mining company.

She is survived by three daughters, JoAnn Bingham of Las Vegas and Barbara Meeks and Elizabeth Hayes; one sister, Marion Austin of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.

Karen Mooers

Karen Mooers, 43, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A resident for 23 years, she was born April 15, 1959, in Minnesota.

She is survived by one sister, Sharon Buccella of Las Vegas.

Mary Ann Piazzisi, 92, of Las Vegas died Friday in North Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born July 11, 1910, in Illinois.

Ronald Ray Smith, 55, of Las Vegas died July 16 in Las Vegas.

Jennie Valdez

Jennie Valdez, 77, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 22, 1924, in Pagosa Springs, Colo. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired hospital nursing assistant.

She is survived by two daughters, Loretta Davis and Cynthia Higgason, and one son, Gilbert Valdez, all of Henderson; two sisters, Ruth Hernandez and Cora Salazar, both of Los Angeles; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday with a 6:30 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Carrie Wesley

Carrie Wesley, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1913, in Magnolia, Ark. A resident for 38 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Mother's Board at the Greater New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by seven sons, Jay F. Wesley, John H. Wesley, Lee O. Wesley, Lee A. Wesley and Andrew D. Wesley, all of Las Vegas, Verdis Wesley of Phoenix and Dexter B. Wesley of Fontana, Calif.; 45 grandchildren; and 80 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Helen C. Wisniewski

Helen C. Wisniewski, 97, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A resident for 12 years, she was born Oct. 3, 1904, in Poland.

She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Staples of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; one brother, Charles Czarnowski of Sea Level, N.C.; one sister, Charlotte Barrett of Glen Falls, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Eva Wispe

Eva Wispe, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born June 3, 1928, in Canada. A resident for two years, she was an executive secretary for a movie company.

Gerald L. Wood

Gerald L. Wood, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 10, 1932, in Janesville, Wis. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired Air Force master sergeant and Korean War and Vietnam War veteran and a former Veterans of Foreign Wars member.

He is survived by his wife, Gladene E.; five sons, Michael Wood and Donald Wood, both of Las Vegas, David Zamjahn of Wisconsin, Darrel Zamjahn of Alabama and Daniel Zamjahn of California; four daughters, Tammy Dean of Las Vegas, Dawn Knapmiller and Daphne Humphrey, both of Wisconsin, and Diane Ludlow of Arizona; one sister, Marilyn Carey, and one brother, Ronald Wood, both of Rockford, Ill.; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
