Pioneer owner reports revenue decline

Archon Corp., which operates the Pioneer Hotel and Gambling Hall in Laughlin, reported revenues of $11.4 million in the quarter ended June 30, compared to $13.8 million in the same period a year ago.

The cash flow measure EBITDA, earnings before interest, taxes, appreciation, rents and corporate expenses, was $13.8 million, compared to $5.1 million from the year-ago quarter.

The Las Vegas-based company reported a loss of $4 million, or 66 cents a share, for the quarter, compared to $2.1 million, or 34 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter.
