Letter: Raising wages is sneaky way to raise taxes

But the business tax would raise the prices of products and services to the consumer. The business would only collect the tax. Their organization should be called the Dump on Nevada Employers.

Raising wages is a sneaky, underhanded way to raise taxes and make the employer pay more in FICA taxes. This will result in fewer jobs, not more. Here's a concept: Why doesn't the wage earner get a raise on his/her own merits? Of course, the government couldn't control the wage earner then.

Instead of thinking of new ways to tax "we the people," why don't you think of ways to reduce spending and make the government smaller?
