WB casting call scheduled at Primm
Clean & Clear and the WB television network are coming to Nevada on a search for new talent at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Fashion Outlets in Primm.
The WB/Clean & Clear Casting Call 2002 is a chance to be discovered by the WB's casting department. Winners will be eligible to win a walk-on role on a WB primetime show.

Computer classes offered to seniors
The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is launching a series of classes for seniors interested in learning about computers.
Classes include what to look for when purchasing a computer, computer basics, the Internet, how to set up an e-mail account and word processing.
The classes are free but pre-registration is required. Classes will be held at Whitney, Enterprise, West Charleston and Rainbow libraries.

Mayor will meet Ward 3 residents
Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman will meet with residents over breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Friday at Blueberry Hill Restaurant, 5000 E. Bonanza Road
The "Coffee with the Mayor" is the fifth this year. Goodman plans to have such meetings with residents in each of the six city wards. Councilman Gary Reese of Ward 3 will also attend Friday's coffee.
Goodman also has monthly open door meetings for constituents in the council chambers at City Hall. This month's meeting is also Friday at 10 a.m.

Fire station plans open house
Las Vegas Fire Station 42, 7331 W. Cheyenne Ave., will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Fire equipment, personnel, fire safety information and the fire safety house, a mobile classroom that teaches children how to escape a burning building, will be featured.

Hypnosis and weight reduction
A seminar on weight reduction through hypnotherapy will be offered from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence, 100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite No. 330.
Bill Hershey, who is certified by the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association, will explain to participants how hypnosis can be used to lose weight and maintain the results.
The seminar will conclude with a group hypnosis session stressing weight management. Cost is $20.
HBC Las Vegas will hold its next KinderVision
event from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Albertson's, 1760 E. Charleston Blvd., dedicated to the protection and safety of children. There will be live broadcasts from La Nueva 103.5-FM, Recuerdo 870-AM and Nissan. For more information, call 284-6400.
Jewish Women International

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
will hold a kickoff reception from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Friday in Santa Fe Station's Pecos Banquet Room in honor of Light the Night, a nationwide evening walk to commemorate lives touched by cancer. To RSVP, call 436-4220.
Final auditions for the Las Vegas Academy
for the 2002-2003 school year will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the academy, 315 S. Seventh St. Positions for 9th through 12th grade are available in dance, theater, technical theater, vocal music, instrumental music, orchestra, visual arts and international studies.
