Peccole L.L. loses in West Regional

The Peccole Little League 11-12-year-old team lost 1-0 to Southern California Wednesday night in the six-team Western Regional tournament in San Bernardino, Calif.

Peccole, the Nevada state champs, mustered mustered just two hits -- both by Taylor Cole. Losing pitcher Justin Treux allowed three hits, striking out 10 and walking two.

Peccole wrapped up pool play 2-2 and will await the remainder of play to see if it is one of the four teams to qualify for Sunday's semfinals.
