Donald Bowman

Donald Bowman, 68, of Henderson died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born May 21, 1934, in Portsmouth, Ohio. A resident for many years, he was a retired Air Force sergeant.

He is survived by one sister, Imogene Duncan of Kealakekua, Hawaii; two brothers, Robert Bowman of Springfield, Ohio, and Louis Bowman of Bellingham, Wash.; and one half-sister, Elizabeth Shugert of Dade County, Fla.

Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Madelaine Kathleen Brittingham

Madelaine Kathleen Brittingham, 85, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 14, 1916, in New York City. A resident for 27 years, she worked at the Pentagon for many years, was a longtime employee at Nellis Air Force Base and supported numerous local charities.

She is survived by five sons, Peter Brittingham of Grand Junction, Colo., Robert Brittingham of Suffolk, Va., Frank Brittingham of Nashville, Tenn., Walter Brittingham of Nevada and Richard Brittingham of Lawton, Okla.; one daughter, Dorothy Wells of North Las Vegas; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Derrick C. Caldwell Sr.

Derrick C. Caldwell Sr., 53, of Las Vegas died July 31 in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was born July 3, 1958, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by one son, Derrick C. Caldwell Jr., and one daughter, Brittney Caldwell, both of San Diego; his mother, Barbara Caldwell of North Las Vegas; four brothers, Russell Caldwell of Apache Junction, Colo., and Maurice Caldwell, Dewayne Caldwell and Anthony Simpson, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Yvette King and Jaci Marion, both of Las Vegas, and Jeanene Hall of Palmdale, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to an 11 a.m. service Monday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Graveside services follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Gennaro 'Jerry' Castronuovo

Gennaro "Jerry" Castronuovo, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 6, 1931, in New York City. A resident for many years, he was a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by one son, Gary Castronuovo of Las Vegas; one daughter, Rosemary Castronuovo of California; one sister, Susan Nunazio of New York; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

Lee Gaynor

Lee Gaynor, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 6, 1924, Seattle. A resident for one year, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; one daughter, Ginny Tyler of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family requests donations to disabled veterans.

Betty M. Govan

Betty M. Govan, 63, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 15, 1938, in Nashville, Tenn. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired hotel pantry worker.

She is survived by her husband, Willie; one son, Alonzo Johnson Jr. of Fairfield, Calif.; one daughter, Kimberly Anderson of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Ramona Hightower and Francis Anderson, both of Atlanta, and Bertha Perkins of Eaglesville, Tenn.; two goddaughters, Carolyn Fowler and Michelle Keemp, both of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St.

Samuel T. Holman

Samuel T. Holman, 95, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born June 20, 1907, in Arcadia, La. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired landscaper.

He is survived by one daughter, Ella Bolin of Las Vegas; two sons, Talmadge Holman of Dallas and Eddie Butler of Tennessee; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Terry Lynn Howard

Terry Lynn Howard, 50, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. She was born June 28, 1952, in Alexandria, Va. A resident for three years, she was the office manager at the Harley Davidson Cafe and a member of the Moose Lodge.

She is survived by her husband, Roland L. Jr.; two daughters, Lori Anne Howard of Denver and Susan Ronnette Seno of Beaufort, S.C.; two sons, Ritchie Howard of Las Vegas and Shawn Michael Grazier of North Carolina; her father, William M. Rutherford of Colonial Beach, Va.; one brother, William Rutherford Jr. of Pensacola, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services and burial will be in Virginia.

Patricia Flame Jameson

Patricia Flame Jameson, 45, of Mississippi died July 31 in Mississippi. She was born Oct. 29, 1956, in Ohio. A former Las Vegas resident for many years, she was a casino dealer.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Vic Jameson; one son, Brody Jameson of Mississippi; and her mother, Lorraine C. Jameson, and one brother, Jack McCellan, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Ida H. Karbal

Ida H. Karbal, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 11, 1920, in Detroit. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Jewish National Fund and the Golden Chai.

She is survived by her husband, Albert; one son, Michael Karbal of Las Vegas; one daughter, Carol Spelkin of Calabasas, Calif.; three sisters, Janet Trombka and Marion Gofstein, both of California, and Edith Zaffern of Michigan; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in King David Cemetery.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Audrey Mae Meyer

Audrey Mae Meyer, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for three years, she was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Madison, Wis.

She is survived by five sons, Gilbert Meyer of Big Bear City, Calif., Gary Meyer of Reno, Gregg Meyer of Tennessee, Guy Meyer of Las Vegas and Glenn Meyer of Nashville; one daughter, Barbara Balough of Reno; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Michael Morrow

Michael Morrow, 27, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 8, 1975.

Graveside services were in Woodlawn Cemetery. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.

Pamela Pacheco

Pamela Pacheco, 48, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born March 17, 1954, in San Jose, Calif. A resident for 33 years, she was a clerical worker for a trucking firm.

She is survived by one son, Scott M. Gilson, her mother, Peggy Pacheco, her father, Ernest Pacheco, one sister, Sheri Cervantes, and two brothers, Bryan Pacheco and Gary Pacheco, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Burial will be private. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Barbara E. Powers

Barbara E. Powers, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 9, 1939, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 25 years, she was an artist.

She is survived by four brothers, Scott Johnson, Craig Johnson and John Johnson, all of Brooklyn, and Rick Johnson of Phillipsburg, N.J.; and one sister, Joyce Blackford of Claremont, Fla.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

Marian C. Tennant

Marian C. Tennant, 74, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 24, 1927, in Gooding, Idaho. A resident for 41 years, she was a casino audit clerk.

She is survived by three sons, James A. Tennant and Raymond E. Tennant, both of Henderson, and Robert M. Tennant of Kingman, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Myron Wolansky

Myron Wolansky, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 11, 1920, in Carteret, N.J. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired painter, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Masons, Painters Local 159 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; and one sister, Mame Wrublevski of Plainfield, N.J.
