Las Vegas-based TRIRIGA Inc. said Tuesday it bought for $5 million the rights to FacilityCenter, a software product line developed by San Diego-based Peregrine Systems Inc.
TRIRIGA also hired two former Peregrine executives as part of the deal.
Roger Rittenhouse, who was area vice president and general manager of Peregrine's real estate and facilities division, joined TRIRIGA as vice president and general manager of the company's real estate and facility operations division.
John Smart was formerly director and chief architect of Peregrine's real estate and facilities division. TRIRIGA appointed him area vice president for its real estate and facility operations division.
TRIRIGA, a subsidiary of big construction firm Marnell Corrao Associates, provides business-automation software for the hospitality and design-build industries.
The company said in a statement that its acquisition of the FacilityCenter product suite will boost its ability to add comprehensive facilities management capabilities to its Intelligent Business System technology platform.
