Fired worker charged in death

Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002 | 9:15 a.m.

A former employee of the Harley-Davidson Cafe on the Strip was arrested Tuesday night and accused of killing one of the restaurant managers earlier in the day.

Bradley Repolio was booked into the Clark County jail on a murder charge after police arrested him at his home near Harmon Avenue and Mountain Vista Street about 9 p.m., Metro Police said.

Police started looking for Repolio soon after the body of 50-year-old Terry Lynn Howard was found Tuesday about 7 a.m. inside the restaurant on the Strip at Harmon Avenue.

Howard and a few other employees came to the restaurant about 6 a.m., and sometime after that Repolio showed up, police said. Repolio, who had been fired a few days ago, started talking with Howard as the other employees were in other areas of the restaurant, said Lt. Tom Monahan of Metro's homicide unit.

Monahan didn't reveal why Repolio was fired, but said Howard was not part of the decision to fire the 37-year-old Las Vegas man.

The other employees inside the restaurant Tuesday morning did not hear any gunshots, screams or sounds of a struggle, Monahan said. An employee discovered Howard's body and called for help.

Employees of the restaurant gathered outside to speak with police. Several could be seen crying as they huddled together in an area behind the crime scene tape. Several employees declined to talk about what happened.

The restaurant was closed Tuesday, but was to be reopened today.
