Chris Clapinski and David Bell hit home runs and Robert Ellis allowed two hits in seven innings to lead the Las Vegas 51s to a 5-3 PCL victory over the Omaha Royals on Monday night at Omaha, Neb.

Clapinski's two-run homer in the eighth, his 11th of the season, gave the 51s a 4-3 lead against Omaha reliever Brad Voyles (1-2). Bell hit a solo shot, his 11th, in the ninth.

Ellis (6-7) allowed three runs, struck out five and walked one before relievers Guillermo Mota and Jeff Williams finished the four-hitter. Williams got his 19th save.

Friday at Edmonton, Dodgers ace Kevin Brown will make his second rehab start for the 51s. He threw 50 pitches (32 for strikes) in 3 2/3 innings for Las Vegas on Saturday.
