An 18-year-old Los Angeles man died Thursday afternoon in a boating accident on the Colorado River near Laughlin.
The man was driving a personal watercraft about 4:10 p.m. when he collided with a riverboat. He was thrown from the personal watercraft and died at the scene, Metro Police said.
The Nevada Wildlife Division is investigating the accident.
The accident occurred on the river between the Colorado Belle and Pioneer hotels, officials said.
The man's name was not released this morning pending the notification of his family.
