Company added to S&P SmallCap index

Shuffle Master Inc. announced today it has been added to the S&P SmallCap 600, a widely followed stock index tracking the performance of smaller publicly traded companies.
The Las Vegas gaming equipment company will be added to the index at the close of trading today. It will replace Visual Networks Inc., a Maryland-based software systems company.
Shuffle Master will become the fifth gaming company on the index. Currently Argosy Gaming Co., Aztar Corp., Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. and WMS Gaming are components of the index.
Shuffle Master stock rose $1.22 to $23.92 today, a 52-week high for the company.
