TV show gives few Weber clues

Tuesday, April 23, 2002 | 10:40 a.m.

Two airings of "American's Most Wanted" have turned up few usable leads to help police capture Timmy J. Weber, who is wanted in the slaying of his girlfriend and her son.

Metro Police continue to search for Weber, 28, in connection with the April 4 slaying of Kim Gautier, 38, and her 15-year-old son, Anthony, in their home near First Street and Bonanza Road.

The pair had been bound with duct tape, and Gautier's 14-year-old daughter had been assaulted.

Weber was featured on "America's Most Wanted" on April 13 and repeated on Saturday.

"We've gotten a few tips (about Weber's whereabouts) from 'America's Most Wanted,' but most of them have proved to be impossible," homicide Lt. Tom Monahan said.

John Walsh, host of the syndicated show, said on CNN's "Larry King Live" Monday night that Weber tops his most-wanted list.

Walsh said he believes that Weber is still in Las Vegas.

Police thought he had fled the area until he re-appeared on April 14 at the Gautier home. Gautier's surviving son, Christopher, was attacked when he went to the home to collect items for a funeral.

Anyone with information about Weber's whereabouts is asked to call police at 229-3521 or Secret Witness at 385-5555. If Weber is seen, residents are urged to call 911.
