Manhunt for Weber continues
Monday, April 22, 2002 | 9:53 a.m.
Metro Police continue to search for Timmy J. Weber in connection with a double murder of a mother and her son, after a possible sighting that turned out to be false.
Sunday night Paiute Tribal Police chased a man through the Sky-Vue Mobile Home Park near 15th Street and Owens Avenue, Metro Police Lt. Vincent Cannito said.
"When the call first came out they thought it might be him, but it wasn't," Cannito said.
Police have been searching for Weber since April 4 when his 38-year-old girlfriend, Kim Gautier, and her 15-year-old son, Anthony Gautier, were killed in her home on First Street near Bonanza Road. The pair had been bound and Gautier's 14-year-old daughter had been assaulted in the home.
Weber has been charged with the crimes, and he was believed to have fled the area until he reappeared on April 14 at the Gautier home. Gautier's surviving son, Christopher, was attacked at the home Sunday when he went to retrieve something for a funeral.
Anyone with information about Weber's whereabouts is asked to call police at 229-3521 or Secret Witness at 385-5555. If Weber is seen, residents are urged to call 911.
