Plays staged

"Louder Than Words," a comedy by Kim Moore, will be presented at 8 p.m. today and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday at UNLV's Black Box Theatre. Call 895-2787.
Community College of Southern Nevada and Music Theatre International present the musical "Pippin" will be presented at 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at college's Horn Theatre, 3200 E. "That Championship Season," a drama by Jason Miller, will be presented at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 26-27 and 2 p.m. April 28 at Whitney Library Concert Hall, 5175 E. As part of the Fremont Street Experience's sixth annual Mardi Gras Celebration, the groups Lisa Haley & the Zydekats and Louisiana Sue will perform today and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by Crawdaddy-O from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band & Buckwheat Zydeco from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on stages underneath the canopy on Fremont Street. The "Rastaman Vibration" Bob Marley Festival Tour, featuring performances by reggae, dance-hall, island and world-beat music acts, will be from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday at Hills Park, on Hillpointe Road in Summerlin.
