Juan Jose Galarraga Basurto

Juan Jose Galarraga Basurto, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born May 2, 1938, in Andoain, Spain. A resident for one year, he was a retired Merchant Marine.

He is survived by one daughter, Ana Maria Rydell of Las Vegas; two brothers, Ventura Galarraga Basurto and Jose Maria Galarraga Basurto, both of Andoain; and two grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Peggy L. Black

Peggy L. Black, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 10, 1930, in Childress, Texas. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired restaurateur.

She is survived by three sons, Wayne Coyner of Boulder City, Glen Wheeler of Fayetteville, Ark., and Trent Black of Las Vegas; one sister, Juanell Gordon of Georgetown, Texas; one brother, Don White of Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11:30 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be private.

William Leo Bunch III

William Leo Bunch III, 21, of Las Vegas died Monday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 30, 1980, in Chico, Calif. A resident for seven years, he was an office clerk for an employment agency.

He is survived by his father, William Leo Bunch Jr. of Paradise, Calif.; his mother and stepfather, Tamara and Russ Garner of Las Vegas; and three brothers, John Michael Bunch, Lance Garner and Blake Garner.

California services are pending. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is arranging private services.

Henry Cohen

Henry Cohen, 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 28, 1920, in Los Angeles. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a rendering company, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Jewish War Veterans.

He is survived by one son, Ira Cohen of San Francisco; and one daughter, Barbara Cohen of Clearwater, Fla.

Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Val Duane Decker

Val Duane Decker, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 30, 1965, in Nevada. A resident for 37 years, he was an automotive restorer a National Guard veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Elva; two daughters, Nancy Lea Smith and Jolene Walker; one brother, Arnold Decker; one sister, Jackie Decker; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

James Patrick Flynn

James Patrick Flynn, 33, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 15, 1968, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a floorman at The Orleans.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; one son, Kyle Wendell Flynn, one daughter, Brianna Lee Flynn, and his mother, Sherry Wiggins, all of Las Vegas; his father, William Robert Flynn of O'Fallon, Ill.; three sisters, Paula Flynn, Anita Gallegos and Christina Flynn, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, William Flynn and Paul Edward Flynn, both of Las Vegas and Christopher Flynn of O'Fallon; and his grandmother, Elizabeth Flynn of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Desiree Gallo

Desiree Gallo, 51, of Las Vegas died April 10 in Las Vegas. A resident for 10 years, she was born July 14, 1950, in New York.

She is survived by one daughter, Desiree Staggs of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at noon today in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Beverly Dell Glavinich

Beverly Dell Glavinich, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 3, 1927, in California. A resident for nine years, she was a retired waitress and a member of the Englebert "I Love You Just the Way You Are" fan club.

She is survived by one son, Jim Glavinich; three daughters, Joni Harvey, Jill Johnson and JoAnn Kramer; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Gordon Francis Hiller

Gordon Francis Hiller, 70, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 27, 1931. A resident for 24 years, he was a postal worker and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores Hayes Hiller; three sons, Thomas, Paul and John; one daughter, Julie; two sisters, Marjorie Hatfield and Sharon Hiller; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mitchell James Hunt

Mitchell James Hunt, 73, of Pahrump died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 26, 1928, in Rose Lake, Idaho. A resident for 14 years, he was a World War II Navy veteran who served for 28 years.

He is survived by his wife, Juline; five children, Lynnda and Debbie, both of Henderson, Kenny and Dalton, both of Pahrump, and Steve of Australia; one brother, Gene; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Lillie Kittle, 73, of Mohave Valley, Ariz., died Tuesday in a local specialty hospital. She was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Waterloo, Iowa. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired casino cashier.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; four daughters, Carrie Miller of Riverside, Calif., Norma Lewis of Marysville, Wash., Barbara Ann Hughes of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Karen Gillespie of Anaheim, Calif.; one son, John Pierce of Murrieta, Calif.; two brothers, Buddy Switzer of Murrieta and Alfred Switzer of Tacoma, Wash.; one sister, Alice Lemons of Bullhead City; 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Sarah Ann Lacasse, 22, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 14, 1979, in Holyoke, Mass. A resident for 11 years, she worked for Wheeler's RV.

She is survived by her fiance, Bradley W. Jackson of Las Vegas; her father, David Lacasse of Ludlow, Mass.; her mother, Kathy Lacasse, and one sister, Jennifer Lynn Lacasse, both of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Patricia and Michael Hannigan of Las Vegas, Edward Fournier of Dallas and Laura and Witt Hilton of Granby, Mass.

Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to a 6:30 p.m. memorial service Friday in Paradise Bible Baptist Church, 2525 Emerson Ave. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Willie Roy Leaks

Willie Roy Leaks, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 3, 1935, in Rosston, Ark. A resident for 24 years, he was a hotel porter.

He is survived by one son, Jerry Leaks of California; his parents, Willie and Pearl Ada Leaks of Camden, Ark.; one brother, Charles Leaks of Las Vegas; two sisters, Norma Jean Jerro of California and Earline Thierry of Atlanta; and three grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Rosston. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Barbara Lynch

Barbara Lynch, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. She was born March 10, 1925. A resident for many years, she was a retired secretary for the federal government.

She is survived by two stepdaughters, Dawnie Lynch of Las Vegas and Vonnie Hartwigsen of San Diego.

Robert Marsenich

Robert Marsenich, 77, of Las Vegas died April 5 in a local care center. He was born Jan. 8, 1925, in Bearcreek, Mont. A resident for 46 years, he was a retired pit boss and manager, elected and served in the Montana House of Representatives in 1953 and was a veteran of the Merchant Marines.

He is survived by two daughters, Lynne Marsenich Tsujimoto of Claremont, Calif., and Michelle Holbert of Henderson; two sons, Michael Marsenich of Las Vegas and Steven Marsenich of St. George, Utah; one brother, Milan Marsenich of Butte, Mont.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services and burial were held in Montana. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

Martie Martinez

Martie Martinez, 63, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born April 12, 1938, in Mansfield, Ohio. A resident for 20 years, she was an escrow officer for a title company for 25 years.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; two daughters, Maria Martinez of Henderson and Amy Fox of Galion, Ohio; four sons, Rod Martinez and Mike Martinez, both of Henderson, Dan Martinez of Las Vegas and Frankie Martinez of El Cajon, Calif.; one sister, Margaret Earhart of Galion; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Annette Cadden and Jennie Wheeler, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Lila Doris Parks, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 18, 1918, in Limestone County, Texas. A resident for eight years, she was a retired executive director in special education.

She is survived by two daughters, Cecilia Sellers of Las Vegas and Lila Carl of Austin, Texas; one sister, Hazel Gough of Waco, Texas; two brothers, Eugene Thomas of Charleston, Ind., and David Thomas of Richmond, Va.; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Mona Campbell of Tukwila, Wash.; three sisters, Adele Hennes of Westminster, Calif., Sally Selig of Los Angeles and Jean Wheller of Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Anne Rogberg

Anne Rogberg, 101, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born July 16, 1900, in Capetown, South Africa. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired teacher and news reporter and a Clark County Library volunteer for 15 years.

She is survived by a host of friends.

Erwin Y. Santos, 35, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 21, 1967, in Nicaragua. A resident for 10 months, he was a dental technician.

He is survived by his parents, Perfecto and Mercedes Santos of Guatemala; and one brother, Nery G. Santos of Van Nuys, Calif.

He is survived by his wife, Carol J.; four daughters, Ruth Bangert and Vickie Wolverton, both of Salem, Ore., Diana Morris of Mehama, Ore., and Karen Hulse of Auburn, Wash.; one son, Jerry Wolverton of Sacramento and Erma Chetwood of Portland, Ore.; and four grandchildren.
