Sightings of slayings suspect reported

Metro Police continue searching for double murder suspect Timmy J. Weber today after a night of more possible sightings.
"We're getting a lot of calls about him. We are looking into all the information," said Sgt. Rocky Alby of Metro's homicide section. "We're getting an awful lot of sightings that don't turn out to be him. But sooner or later one will be right."
Police have been searching for Weber since April 4 when his 38-year-old girlfriend, Kim Gautier, and her 15-year-old son, Anthony Gautier, were killed in her home on First Street near Bonanza Road. The pair had been bound and Gautier's 14-year-old daughter had been assaulted in the home.
Weber has been charged with the crimes, but police thought he had fled the area -- until Sunday when he reappeared at the Gautier home. The slain woman's surviving older son, Christopher, was attacked Sunday when he entered the home to retrieve something for a funeral that day. He said Weber attacked him.
Weber was able to slip a massive police search Sunday, but police continue to hunt for Weber using the Criminal Apprehension Team -- a unit of local and federal authorities that hunt for fugitives.
"The public has a lot more eyes than we do and the public will really help us in the search," said Lt. Jim Moses, supervisor of the apprehension team. "Hopefully he will surface soon and we'll find him. We're doing everything we can."
People who information or suspect they have spotted Weber are asked to call Metro's homicide unit at 229-3521, Secret Witness at 385-5555 or the department's non-emergency number 311. If Weber is seen, residents are urged to call 911 instead of confronting Weber.
