The Los Angeles Dodgers are on the air -- or at least back on the air in Las Vegas.

KSFN 1140-AM announced Tuesday that it will air Dodgers baseball games after all this year, precluding Las Vegas from going without Dodgers broadcasts for the first time in 36 years.

KSFN plans to carry about 100 games. The network carried the games last year after KDWN 720-AM, the Dodgers' longtime Las Vegas affiliate, opted not to renew its agreement with KXTA in Los Angeles, the Dodgers' flagship station.

KDWN received a fee from KXTA in the final year of its contract and KSFN was seeking a similar arrangement this year. When the stations could not agree on terms, it left Las Vegas without Dodgers baseball and many Dodgers fans in Las Vegas upset.

"I went to corporate to see if we could reacquire the Dodgers," said KSFN general manager Marty Basch. "I felt it was wrong considering the rich tradition of Dodgers baseball in Las Vegas not to have them on a radio station here."

A KSFN spokesman said the station plans to begin carrying the Dodgers broadcasts as early as this weekend.
