Rodney Frank Anderson
Rodney Frank Anderson, 56, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born June 7, 1951, in Montana. A resident for many years, he was a real estate investment banker.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Anderson of Albuquerque.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Glendive, Mont. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Connie M. Betka
Connie M. Betka, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 11, 1934, in New Castle, Pa. A resident for 42 years, she was a retired bartender.
She is survived by two daughters, Francine Betka and Charisse Patterson, and one son, Anthony Betka, all of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11:30 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
William B. Blitsch
William B. Blitsch, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 14, 1951, in Portland, Ore. A resident for seven years, he was a cook.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Smith.

Patsy Carpentieri
Patsy Carpentieri, 80, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born April 6, 1922, in Newark, N.J. A resident for six years, he was a retired Italian bake shop baker and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Filomena; one daughter, Mary Rose Scarpa of Henderson; one son, Frank Carpentieri of Old Bridge, N.J.; two brothers, Fritz Carpentieri and Biasi Carpentieri, both of Toms River, N.J.; one sister, Palma Paglia of Barnegat, N.J.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103, or the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Guy Foster 'Gunsmoke' Carter
Guy Foster "Gunsmoke" Carter, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 22, 1914, in Slickford, Ky. A resident for 43 years, he was a self-employed mechanic and an Army veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Carter of Las Vegas and Don Carter of Monticello, Ky.; one daughter, Shirley Cole of Las Vegas; one sister, Delpha Troxell of Monticello; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be in Powersberg, Ky.; Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Glenn Allen Castle
Glenn Allen Castle, 45, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born March 8, 1957, in Gloucester, Mass. A resident for 25 years, he was an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his fiancee, Cheryl Ann Davis, and one daughter, Raechel Castle, both of Henderson; his parents, John and Katherine Castle of Irvington, Ky.; and two sisters, Sharon Singh of Laurel, Md., and Alison Castle of Corinth, Ky.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Joseph Everett Dorais
Joseph Everett Dorais, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 5, 1910, in Kansas. A resident for many years, he was a railroad and bridges foreman.
He is survived by one son, Francis Dorais of Las Vegas.

John F. Flanagan
John F. Flanagan, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 6, 1932, in Boston. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired chef and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Emily; two sons, John Flanagan Jr. and James Flanagan, both of Las Vegas; seven brothers, Robert Flanagan, Elmer Flanagan Jr., Thomas Flanagan, Charles Flanagan, Roger Flanagan, James Flanagan and William Flanagan, and one sister, Rita Capece, all of Massachusetts; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-6 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Joe Gordon
Joe Gordon, 70, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. He was born March 24, 1932, in Philadelphia. A resident for eight years, he was a retired truck driver, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; two sons, Joseph Edward Gordon of Trinidad, Colo., and John Francis Gordon of Henderson, Colo.; one daughter, Joanne Leona Farrell of Oreland, Pa.; one sister, Janice L. Kraus of Loveland, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Jerry Alan Green
Jerry Alan Green, 62, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 19, 1939, in Yuma, Ariz. A resident for 59 years, he was a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad for 44 years, a Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a Little League and Pop Warner football coach.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; two sons, Timothy Green and Jonathan Green, and one daughter, Stephanie Green, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Anita Green; and one sister, Bonnie Rivers Las Vegas; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be private. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Martin Edward Hammel
Martin Edward Hammel, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 12, 1930, in Illinois. A resident for four years, he was a building maintenance worker for an insurance company and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; six sons, Mike Lindholm of Huntington Beach, Calif., Tom Lindholm of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Kevin Lindholm of Garden Grove, Calif., Joe Lindholm of Alabama and Larry Lindholm of Las Vegas; one daughter, Marti Ann Hammel of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.
Terri Lynn Healy
Terri Lynn Healy, 45, of Las Vegas died April 6 in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 21, 1957, in Pennsylvania. A resident for four years, she was a medical transcriptionist and a member of American Association of Medical Transcriptionists.
She is survived by her husband, Terrance; her parents, William and Beverly Russell; and two sisters, Lisa Sliwinski and Pam Orr.

Malissa L. Heidebrecht
Malissa L. Heidebrecht, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 31, 1921, in Cooperton, Okla. A resident for two years, she was a retired teacher.
She is survived by one daughter, Jo Cheryl Tejas of Las Vegas; two sisters, Edna Withgott of Norman, Okla., and Frances Rhodes of Hobart, Okla.; one brother, Clarence Mercer of Indiahoma, Okla.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be in Oklahoma. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Toshiko Heidt
Toshiko Heidt, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 19, 1934, in Japan. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sisters, Kimiyo Tanaka and Satoko Tanaka, both of Japan; and one grandchild.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
Mason Evan Noel
Mason Evan Noel, 19, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 2, 1982, in Billings, Mont. A resident for five years, he was a retail store serviceman.
He is survived by his parents, Chad and Janice Noel, two brothers, Spencer Adam Noel and Griffin Alan Noel, and one sister, Gentry Eden Noel, all of Henderson.

Della A. Nosker
Della A. Nosker, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 14, 1925, in Michigan. A resident for 24 years, she was a beautician and a member of Stepping Seniors Dance Club.
She is survived by three sons, Gerald Nosker of Las Vegas, Harley Nosker of Florida and Michael Nosker of Henderson; one brother, Don Covert of Las Vegas; four sisters, Helen Dretzler of Las Vegas, Blanche Ford of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Cecil Bowen and Katherine Walsten, both of Michigan; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Virginia Fogarty Nubel
Virginia Fogarty Nubel, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 1, 1932, in New York City. A resident for 15 years, she was retired from the real estate business.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol Selawski of Ellicott City, Md., and Mary E. Nubel and Michele Nubel, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Walter Nubel and Thomas J. Nubel, both of Las Vegas, and Michael C. Nubel of Santa Clarita, Calif.; one sister, Patricia Sullivan of Las Vegas; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Robert Shaw, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 28, 1922, in St. Joseph, Mich. A resident for 43 years, he was a general contractor and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by four daughters, Helen Aikins of Las Vegas, Sharon Barber of San Antonio, Susan Culley of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Laurel Klaus of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and one brother, Donald Shaw of San Diego.

Bradley Howard Shelby, 16, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 18, 1985, in Las Vegas. He was a Mojave High School student.
He is survived by his mother, Janice Shelby of North Las Vegas; his father, Howard Shelby, one brother, Romoane Shelby, one sister, Monica Ramsey, and his grandparents, Jane and Charles Skinner, Cleveland and Betty Ramsey, and Edward Shelby Sr., all of Las Vegas.

Edna M. Sollee, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 9, 1918, in Tishamingo, Okla. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired retail grocery clerk who worked for Thrifty Mart for 26 years.
She is survived by one son, Eddie Sollee of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Dwight R. Turner
Dwight R. Turner, 78, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 21, 1923, in Burton, Mich. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired assistant superintendent for a transportation company and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Florence F.; one daughter, Nancy Turner-Smith of Los Angeles; three sons, Richard Turner of Ravensdale, Wash., Thomas Turner of Vero Beach, Fla., and Garry Terner of Algonac, Mich.; one sister, Wilda Barkley of North Carolina; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; two sons, Frank Ungaro of Las Vegas and Roland Ungaro of Pahrump; one daughter, Cynthia Bishop of Pahrump; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Harold 'Townie' Wilson
Harold "Townie" Wilson, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 16, 1933, in Bronxville, N.Y. A resident for 31 years, he was a federal government auditor and a Coast Guard veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; one son, Steven Wilson of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sandra Pritchard of Colorado and Samantha Wilson of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
