Workshop offered to those who lost jobs
A free workshop offered by HELP of Southern Nevada will be held Friday at the HELP offices, 953 E. Sahara Ave., Suite 208, to assist anyone who has recently lost his or her primary source of income due to job lay-offs, divorce, death or disability.
Assistance is also given in the form of resume development, self-esteem enhancement, and interviewing techniques and training.
Pre-registration is required for the workshop. For more information or to sign up for the program, call 369-4357, ext. 231.
'Start Something' planned for kids
Tiger Woods will show children how to make dreams come true during "Start Something," a children's event from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Mandalay Bay.
Woods will tell how he fulfilled his dream of becoming a professional golfer and how the "Start Something" program uses the same principles to help children ages 8-18 identify and act on their own dreams.

Spring celebration set this weekend
The Silver State Paint Horse Club will hold its Spring Celebration and Youth/Amateur Paint-O-Rama at 8 a.m. Friday through Sunday at Horseman's Park.

It's amnesty time for overdue books
Henderson public libraries are forgiving fines incurred from overdue books this week, as part of National Library Week. It will be the library district's final amnesty of the year.
Through Saturday patrons can return outstanding and overdue books and pay no overdue fines.
