NEWARK, N.J. -- Billionaire Ronald Perelman, chairman of Revlon Inc., received qualification from New Jersey regulators last week for a casino license, the Star-Ledger of Newark reported.
The state Division of Gaming Enforcement, in its 43-page report, had no objections to the application, the paper said.
Perelman is eligible to become a major shareholder in a casino company or acquire one, the paper said. He had qualified for a license in the state in 1995, but didn't invest in a casino. Perelman also has qualified for a gaming license in Nevada.
