Bernice A. Bankston
Bernice A. Bankston, 91, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 27, 1910, in Newlin, La. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Jasper, Texas.
She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Redd of Las Vegas and Sarah Lu Eichler of Sterling, Va.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services and burial will be in Jasper.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Gareld 'Rocky' Campbell
Gareld "Rocky" Campbell, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 22, 1924, in White Cloud, Kan. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired hotel security officer.
He is survived by three daughters, Robin Guadan of Las Vegas, Deborah Avila of Moapa and Kerina Littledeer of Los Angeles; three sons, Beaver Campbell and Jesse Campbell, both of Las Vegas, and Lamont Campbell of Syracuse, N.Y.; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling private family arrangements.
Yvonne Elaine Cooper
Yvonne Elaine Cooper, 51, of Lincoln, Neb., died Friday in Lincoln. She was born Dec. 12, 1950, in Falls City, Neb. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a loan officer at Silver State Bank.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Sue Harmon.
She is survived by her mother, Sheila Harmon of Humboldt, Neb.; two sisters, Sandy Boles of Lincoln and Debbie Hammon of Humboldt; three brothers, Steve Harmon of Hiawatha, Kan., Jeff Harmon of Avoca, Neb., and Mark Harmon of Lincoln.
No local services are scheduled. Wherry Funeral Home, Humboldt, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Tristan Joseph Dlugosz
Tristan Joseph Dlugosz, 18, of Proctor, Minn., died April 7 in Proctor. He was born Dec. 1, 1983, in Golden, Colo. He was a former Las Vegas resident.
He is survived by his father, Joseph J. of Proctor, his mother, Lorna McDonald, one stepbrother, Kyle McDonald, and two stepsisters, Kahla McDonald and Kristie McDonald, all of Texas; and his grandparents, Joseph and Marilynn Dlugosz of Lake Geneva, Wis.
Burial will be in Wisconsin. Bell Brothers Funeral Directors, Duluth, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to National Teen Suicide Prevention Program.
Warren Russell Driver Sr.
Warren Russell Driver Sr., 78, of Las Vegas died April 7 in Las Vegas. He was born July 26, 1923, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for 13 years, he was a supervisor at an electronics firm, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the Versatilians of Los Angeles.
He is survived by two sons, Warren B. Driver Jr. of La Habra Heights, Calif., and David L. Driver of Las Vegas; three daughters, Patricia B. Melvin and Amini K. Sababu, both of Trenton, and April Felisbret of Las Vegas; one sister, Barbara E. O'Neal of Somerville, N.J.; 11 grandchildren and seven grandchildren.

Robert A. Fisher
Robert A. Fisher, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Philadelphia. A resident for nine years, he was a retired automotive engineer and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Violet; three sons, Robert Fisher of Waterford, Mich., Lee Fisher of Marina Del Rey, Calif., and William Reader of Las Vegas; one daughter, Cynthia Romack of Las Vegas; and one brother, Frank Fisher of Philadelphia.
American Cremation and Burial Services, 310 Foremaster Lane is handling arrangements.
Connie Keomalu
Connie Keomalu, 45, of Las Vegas died April 7 in Las Vegas. A customer service representative, she was born June 9, 1956, in Oklahoma.
She is survived by one son, Clifford Cook, one daughter, Natalie Cook, and one sister, Otella Black, all of Virginia; and one brother, Ray Sizemore of Oklahoma.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.
John Kravchonok
John Kravchonok, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 4, 1916, in New York. A resident for two years, he was a tailor and an Army veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Iris Barnett of Las Vegas and Doris Ficken of New York; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Geraldine Leigh
Geraldine Leigh, 77, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Dayton, Ohio. A resident for 17 years, she was a member and chaplain of Southern Nevada Coalition of Concerned Women, a member of the Zodiac Social Club and Couples Bridge Group, Clark County Civic Service Mother of the Year in 2000 and was recognized as a 2001 Black Pioneer of Nevada.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; one daughter, Karen Marie Lefkowitz of Lindenwold, N.J.; one son, Keith Edward Leigh of Las Vegas; two sisters, Peggy Burke of Columbus, Ohio, and Miriam Reed of Detroit; one brother, Stratton Kendrick of Dayton; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Ada Marshall, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 28, 1925, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired president of a communications company.
She is survived by one daughter, Valerie Marshall, and one sister, Ruth Falk, both of Las Vegas.
Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Harold McKie
Harold McKie, 90, of Las Vegas and New York died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 17, 1912, in New York. A resident for many years, he was a retired plant manager for a pharmaceutical company.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; and one granddaughter, Laura Wittmer of Las Vegas.

Phil Jerome Murphy
Phil Jerome Murphy, 71, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born May 31, 1930, in McCaskill, Ark. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired Air Force tech sergeant, Korean War veteran and a member of F&AM Lodge 32 in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one daughter, Jan Stanley of Henderson; one brother, Jim Murphy of Fairfield, Calif.; three sisters, Helen Stell and Ruby Bennett, both of Mansfield, Ark., and Clyda Stell of Hot Springs, Ark.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Dorothy Nell Scroggin
Dorothy Nell Scroggin, 74, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 29, 1927, in Mountain Home, Ark. A resident for 50 years, she was retired and was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Scroggin of Las Vegas and Bruce Scroggin of Henderson; one daughter, Birdie Bridges of Henderson; two sisters, Annabelle Laughlin and Velma, both of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Robert Sherwin, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 2, 1922, in New York. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired sanitation engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley.

Richard L. Travis Sr.
Richard L. Travis Sr., 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 18, 1933, in Ottumwa, Iowa. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired insurance agent, a member of the Republican Inner Circle and State Farm President's Club and a Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; one daughter, Gayle Hoffman, and one son, Richard L. Travis Jr., both of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Julia Allen Wright, 96, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 17, 1905, in Wisner, La. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Earline Addison of Tallulah, La., and Alice Addison-Holly of Las Vegas; four sons, Jesse Addison, the Rev. Adam Addison, Howard Allen and the Rev. Michael Miller, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Mary Jane Coleman of Monroe, La.; 28 grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1165 Lawry Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
