Restraining order denied

A federal judge on Monday denied a request by Las Vegas Strip casino giant MGM MIRAGE to immediately stop alleged trademark infringements by two North Miami Beach, Fla.-based Internet casino operators.
MGM MIRAGE sued Riverwood Resources Corp. and Stargate Enterprises Group Inc. in U.S. District Court last week, alleging they linked the domain names "mgmcasinoandsportsbook.com," "miragecasinoandsportsbook.com" and "mirageonlinegaming.com" to their Antigua, West Indies-based online casino "MGM Casino and Sportsbook."
But U.S. District Judge Lloyd George, in a ruling Monday, said MGM MIRAGE "has not met the requirements for justifying the issuance of a temporary restraining order without notice" to the defendants.
