Tuesday, April 9, 2002 | 10:07 a.m.
UNLV women's basketball forward Linda Frohlich will be among the top college seniors in the nation to attend the WNBA pre-draft camp to be held Thursday-Saturday in Chicago.
The camp offers WNBA coaches and general managers the opportunity to evaluate the skills of prospective players prior to the 2002 WNBA Draft on April 19. The draft will be broadcast live on ESPN2 for the second consecutive year from the NBA Entertainment studios in Secaucus, N.J.
The Seattle Storm will have the top pick in the first round, followed by the Detroit Shock, Washington Mystics (third and fourth pick), Portland Fire, Minnesota Lynx, Orlando Miracle, Cleveland Rockers, Charlotte Sting, Houston Comets, Utah Starzz, Sacramento Monarchs, Indiana Fever, New York Liberty, Miami Sol and Los Angeles Sparks.
The league will begin its sixth season over Memorial Day weekend. WNBA training camps will open on April 29 at each team's training facilities, while preseason competition starts on May 9.
