Rebels romp to easy win over Air Force

The UNLV baseball team scored eight runs in the fourth inning and rolled to a 13-4 win over Air Force in the series finale of a three-game set Sunday at Colorado Springs, Colo.

The Rebels improved to 16-18 overall, 5-7 in Mountain West Conference play. The Falcons fell to 17-17, 5-7 in league play.

Robbie Van (3-5) picked up the win as he went six innings, allowing just two runs on six hits with nine strikeouts. Giovanni Pupo, Chad Harris and Joe Maruffi combined to close the game, pitching a single inning each.
